Some Asatru followers I've met - are very strict. They can be quite spiteful of those who persue a career. One really rotten rumor - is that the Art Illustrator, and Creator of THOR was pretty much intimidated to stop writing and publishing.
Don't you hate it, when you get it from all sides ?
The ones who don't like Comics, or just think that Runes are something you should hide in a shoebox - at the back of the closet with photo-albums and costumes you only wear during special occasions... but be caught dead if your employees at a Fast Food Restaurant discovers that you like to do this sort of thing on THEIR MINIMUM WAGE PAYCHECK.
--- Like it or not, Life will not position you with the right people, at the right place or nor at a good time to do things. Such as putting a dream or two into reality as an example.

Who wouldn't like to have a Macho Personality as someone cheering for you, rather than trying to find ways to break your spirit for once.
