I'm so nervous. D:
K, so I'm doing maths with calculus this year and so I applied for a job as a maths tutor to little kids. Gosh.
I went there yesterday after school (I almost died from heatstroke) and everything went ok I guess. Course, since I was new I didn't have a clue what to do, I just wandered around the place occasionally helping the kids when they asked.
They do their maths on a computer and all I have to do is be on hand to help them.
I got it!
Butbutbut! Ugh. There's something so scary about starting a job and learning the works.
I need reassurance plz...;_;
update: Today I had my first day working as a tutor and as expected I made all the mistakes I possibly could. Luckily the people were nice and didn't make a very big deal about it.

You'll be fine. I was so nervous the first time I taught kids. But then again, you're getting paid for it. But yea, we have a program at our school that deals with snakes (we have like 100 snakes at my school and its spread to 5 others) and we go to elementary schools and teach them about our animals. The kids love it and we are sometimes really nervous about it. I think that it is more the teaching aspect that you were nervous about. But don't worry. Just take a deep breath, calm down, and relax. As long as you know what you're doing, and what they're doing since its math not animals, you will be fine.

- [ Like Potatoes' said, "You'll be fine." I got many jobs before. ._. But they all deal with restruants... And the only thing I did to "teach" others was when I was 9 in 3rd grade teaching teachers, "How To Eat Rice." But still, you'll be fine.

- [ I started working in my uncle's restruant when I was in 3rd grade. ._. Imma in 10th now. I know so old! -.- But my guardians still complain that I didn't start working earlier...

Gosh you've been working for aaaages! I feel kinda bum that I didn't start sooner. I had a job in a supermarket once but I quit before I started because the lady was so nasty to me during induction training that I said to myself, 'nah not putting up with this.'

Aurigae Gosh you've been working for aaaages! I feel kinda bum that I didn't start sooner. I had a job in a supermarket once but I quit before I started because the lady was so nasty to me during induction training that I said to myself, 'nah not putting up with this.' I would hate to work for people like that too. But I've never had a job, that's probably why, I don't like being bossed around sweatdrop
