I tend to do a lot of cliche threads and this one is an arranged marriage rp.  Okay, so now that that's been said here^is a pic and this is the story.
The King Geofry of Turlough found himself in an undesirable position. The Royal Treasurer had been siphoning gold into his own pocket and the kingdom was falling into a depression...though no one knew it but the king. He couldn't think of anything to do until his middle daughter, Catalina, was brought in by the guards for running around as a peasant for the millionth time. He had smiled instead of punishing her and sent her back to her room. Now he had the Royal Scribe write letters to the seven surrounding kingdoms in hopes that marriages could be established between their Princes and his Princesses.((I choose who you're paired with, that doesn't really mean that you have to like them. You could fall in love with someone else's prince or princess. Nobility and peasants are also welcome if you don't want to be a prince or princess.))

She can be kind but you have to break her shell first. Bio: She has always hated being treated like a princess and often runs away to the surrounding town to be treated as a peasant or, in other words, a normal human being. When her father tells her that she is going to be marrying some random guy, she isn't exactly thrilled and it results in her running away...again. She's manipulative and easily brought to jealousy. Bio: Hasn't decided how she feels about the whole issue, so she hasn't made any statements one way or another. She simply intends-- no matter what their father decides-- to end up with the most powerful (and hopefully best looking) of the lot. She has been researching the size and strength of the kingdoms and hopes to make herself queen of whatever power she can. ~Accepted Princes~1. Gaia name: Sadistic Memories Character name: Viktor Lupin Black Age: 23 Sex: Male Personality: Dark and mysterious. He says little to no words. He lets his actions speak for himself. At times he may seem distant, staring off out into the sky, longing for something more. Bio: Viktor was raised by a strict father, his mother being distant. He was trained vigorously, unable to ever take a break. Be it reading, writing, hunting, any type of training. His father and underlings would work Viktor until bloody, raw, and sore. At a very young age Viktor was hunting with his father and servants. They backed a boar into a trap only to have it retaliate. It pierced Viktor in the chest, carrying him off for a distance. After shredding his body and leaving him mangled the boar was killed by Viktors hand. He carries various scars of puncture wounds and deep gashes around his chest and stomach. A little shy when it comes to women due to never ending teasing from his older brothers and a complete lack of experience, he worries that he won't be good enough or that they will simply be against him on principle. He is always running off to do things he shouldn't be doing and getting into the palace. He never gets caught though. He can usually make anyone smile, no matter the kind of day they are having Bio: Sky is a normal peasant. He keeps to himself, has enough money to put food on his table, and has a very good job. But when people see him after work they think he is a criminal or something. Actually he just enjoys exploring things, like the castle, He has also been watching the king when he gets out of the palace. Something is different then before. His father was a strong and valiant warrior, while his mother was once apart of her father's fletching business. He was born in the middle of winter and was always a sickly child. He would climb trees and sneak into many places within the kingdom. But his farther was tragicly killed in a great war. His mother died a few weeks later of a broken heart, leaving him alone. The great King of Darakne appointed the great ranger, Payne. After training for many many years Payne was killed on a mission to save Darakne. Since then, he has applied what he has learned to theivery in order to survive in the world. Sky sighed as he pounded the last down the last piece of metal for the horseshoes he was making. This was a blacksmith's life now, making horseshoes for nobility. He remembered some of the stories that his master had told him. About how the quality of the blacksmith's work won or lost the war. Now they were just used as horseshoe makers and the makers of guard weapons. He sighed, speaking of the old man where was he? He had left to get metal hours ago "I bet he stopped to get drunk again" Sky said sighing again

The ride in the carriage had been long and extremely boring for Jusik. He'd rather be training or climbing trees, anything to be out of here. "Why did mom and dad send me here? It's going to be boring"

Catalina or Cat jumped off of the balcony and onto a peg sticking out of a wall then onto the ground.
"Come back here, you urchin!" A commoner called after her. She hadn't even done anything this time and now she was being chased through the streets. The next thing they'll do is alert the city guard and then she'll be in trouble.
"I didn't do anything!" She called over her should, ducking as a hard loaf of bread was thrown at her. She slipped into a narrow alley and squeezed her way through by walking sideways. No way that fat villager would be able to get her now."I'll get you girl, you just wait." Yeah,she thought,you wouldn't be saying that if you knew who I was. She popped out on the other side and dusted off her commoner garb with a proud smirk on her face and turned only to bump into something solid."How many times are we going to have to escort you home, Princess Cat?"
Her shoulders slumped and she held out her wrists. "Fine then just don't tell father this time." She pouted and the guard rolled his eyes before moving her forward gently."You have to marry him, Princess, running away all the time won't change that."

Rafe stood in the shadows of the market place. A grayish green splotched cloak wrapped around his body. The deep hood threw a shadow over his face. Eyes slowly scanning th crowed he kept his arms folded, looking as if he was a statue. He had been standing there since sunrise, not moving an inch. Many child had gathered around, jabbing and pointing at him. Their mother shooed them away, glancing back at Rafe, a hint of fear in their eyes. A sigh passed over his lips. Being a ranger fear came with the job. People feared what they did not understand or know of. Very little was known of rangers. Their trade was a secret, never reviled but through a ranger, the king, and or his apprentice. Rafe had an apprentice once, but the young lad had died. He was foolish, but strong willed. Shaking the thought from his mind the tall man shifted quickly and out into the crowd. Hearing something about escorting he looked over towards a guard and a young girl, knowing it must have been the princess. 'Girl has a knack for leaving..' Laughing under his breath Rafe quickly slipped over to them and tapped the Guard on the shoulder, "I was sent to watch her, Kings orders. She simply wished to be out with others before marrying the prince. Her father agreed, I have paid the villager back, now back to your station..."

Killen walked through the busy streets, avoiding some of the locals that looked like they were in a rush. His He kept the hood of his tattered cloak up, cocealing most of his face. "Whats with these people? can't they slow down for one minute?" He said under his breath.
He walked through the croud untill he found a unoccupied bench to sit at. He kept on watching everything that happened on the streets. Kids were playing, merchents were peddling their goods to anyone that passed by. One thing that stuck out was a lone girl confronted by some guards. He took a seat at the bench and watched quietly. This sort of thing happend alot around this place, but there was something different, something he couldn't put his finger on. "I wonder what will happen next..."

Cat looked at the new guy curiously. "There was no need to pay back that b*****d, I didn't steal anything from him." She said but she couldn't keep a small smile from creeping to her face. "Tricky one, that one. Sneaky, I like it and therefore won't say anything to the new treasurer." She looked the guy over again and then at her guard and back again. She had never seen the guy before in her life but one guy looked a lot easier to ditch than several guards. "Now see here, sir, I've had no word from the king that one man would be assigned to the girl or that he didn't want her back so unless you have some sort of paperwork to show me..." The guard shrugged. "I can't let you take her."

Rafe simply smirked and shook his head, "You're thick lad..Don't you know who I am?" Pulling his hood back he flashed a wide grin, "I'm a ranger..Now either you let us one our way or I follow you home.." He shoved the palm of his hand into the guards face. In his hand was a brand, marking of the king and the mark of a ranger. Gently grabbing the princess's wrists he pulled her close to him and turned away, looking down at her.

Cat frowned internally but kept her face emotionless. Great, so this isn't going to be easy then. She searched his face for a moment. Well, everyone could be ditched, it was just going to take a while to test this guy's skill. "A Ranger huh? What is that exactly and don't be vague with me, sir, I don't have the time to listen to lies and half truths." She said a bit coldly. She hated authority of any kind and if this was some sort of specially trained authority figure, she wasn't going to spare him any more respect than she would to a regular guard. The regular guard who had ducked out the minute the guy had mentioned that he was a ranger.

Rafe let her go and pulled the hood back over his face, "A ranger is..to the towns people..A group of people who hide in the woods and strike down intruders easily..To nobles..We're a pain in their a**.." He smiled, "Now listen..That little group of guards is going to be watching us for awhile..So walk with me princess and tell me where you're off to." Adjusting the cloak he than gazed down at her, "And note, miss, I'm not here to stop you from leaving the kingdom, but if you DO leave, it's my duty to follow."

Cat laughed and shook her head. "Guards follow me all the time, so thats nothing new." She looked back at them and grinned. "We could ditch them, since you're pretty sure I can't shake you. I'm not planning on leaving the country. I love Turlough and the people in it but leaving the country it the problem in the first place. If I marry, the chances of my staying here are very slim to none. I would rather be lost in cheap side." She said as she looked around at all of the people that passed her affectionately. "If you are going to be escorting me about today, Ranger, I would apprecieate if you left my political standing out of our conversations. My name is Alana so long as we are here and I am most definitely not a royal."
