 Ash sniffed the air as he made his way along the river's edge. It was the middle of the night and the air blowing off of the water was cool and refreshing compared to that of the day's heat. He couldn't sleep. Too much excitement was happening. At the moment his small pride was a few miles back, sleeping peacefully among the trees. He'd told Nadine that he needed some fresh air and some time alone. That maybe it'd wear him out. She had smiled at him, that loving, knowing smile that made everything all right in his world. Kicking at a random pebble, with his paw, he let out a deep breath and smiled.
His ears twitched as the sound of splashing water reached them. He looked out over the water just in time to see a lone fish flop up out of the water and back down. Sending a small splash of water through the air. His tummy grumbled in protest at the sight. He was hungry. Hadn't had anything to eat in a couple of days. Slowly, he made his way down into the water and waited patiently for the fish to swim by him.

A growl of a yawn replaced the smile on Adalae's maw. She was indeed angry.. Angry about her recent aquaintances, and angry at the turn her life had taken.
She flicked her tail, and sat by the river of water, her paw delicately touching the top of the liquid. She had escaped from the confinement of that one pride.. The crazy pride she had needed to escape..
She would never go back.
Her tail flicked. She'd left a bit of her heart there.. But she shook her head, growling and trying to think of other things.
It was too late now. So why did she fight with herself, so? She had once been a solitary animal.
Now that she was again.. She didn't like it..

After standing and waiting for what seemed an eternity, Ashe's head finally went under. Rising up out of the water he grinned to himself as a rather large fish flopped around in his mouth, it's tail slapping him on the muzzle. Mumbling some curses to the darned fish he made his way out of the river and plopped down onto the ground as soon as he could.
The cold water slid off his fur and dampened the ground beneath him. He didn't care. He finally had some food. Licking his lips he dived into the fresh meat of the fish. He frowned as scales got all over his muzzle. That's the one thing he didn't like about fish. Shaking his head he continued to devour the fish. Finally. He was happy to have his belly full and began to purr loudly. Rising up he made his way back over to the river and dipped his face down into the cool water. He let the slow, steady flow of the river rid his face of the scales and blood. After that was done he lapped up some of the liquid.

Addie pawed her way to the river that would take away her mind. She loved lying on the banks, a peaceful sense taking over her mind. She walked slowly, and her eyes caught the other lion.
She was cautious.. But her anger of the last pride made her drive on, and take her spot on the banks.
She layed down, placing her paws in the water, playing a bit. She had missed these cub-like times. But she had grown up so fast.. Under her fathers watchful..or.. not so watchful care.
She flicked her tail, lying her head down to stare into the water.
