Yes. I really want to write a multiple chapter Star Fox fanfiction. The thing is, I really don't have a solid idea. Here's what I have so far:
-Fancharacters, and their places in the universe. I know what I'll be doing with them, so I don't need help there. -An idea; the Star Fox team finds themselves in a neighboring system to Lylat, on the verge of a war that's being arranged by Pigma Dengar, behind the scenes. You know, like he tried to do with the Aparoids? -It will take place sometime after Command, and the relationships between some characters (Fox and Krystal, among others) will be shaky.
If any of you would like to help me develop these ideas, that would be really nice.

Andrew and Herbert make a fun duo of Team Rocket-esque villains, and you can slap a little bishie-angst onto Andrew when necessary >_>;
And I would love you if you used Tesla and Bear.
And, uh, I'm not sure what else, other than random changes to characters I made.

Since this is a fanfic the best way to get inspired is by playing the games. Also I find when writing to listen to music. This helps me come up with ideas and also decide on events that happen.
Here is some random helpful advice I doubt you would need mind and might help when coming up with ideas...
I was told when writing any story to first decide on where to start the story and where you want the story to end. This makes it easier to decide on events that happen between the beginning and end. It also gives you a goal to work towards. It's a good idea to do this for all the (major) characters too not jsut the main story.
A good idea is to consider the main theme of the story.. Will it be enemy itself or the characters? This will allow you to refine what ideas you need for the story etc. It also helps when writing the story to stick to a theme instead of changing the theme all the time.
Also when coming up with ideas ask yourself why, how, where and who.. Although it would vary depending on what the subject is. For instance you said the StarFox team are in the neighboring system.. Ask yourself why they are there and how they got there.

Perhaps since they're in a neighboring galaxy, they should somehow end up going through to a parallel universe of their own because Pigma's weapons malfunctioned or something like that. Other than that, just watch vids on Star Fox on YouTube, or play the games yourself. That helps me at least get into each character's mindset.

I forgot about this thread. XD
Well, I have some ideas now, and I already have some fics up on Fanfiction.net, if you're interested just look me up. My screenname there is morrie-chan.
DrasianaX: If you could send me some info on Herbert, Tesla and Bear, I'd gladly see if I could include them. I love using obscure characters, because then I don't feel as constricted to the main characters, as well as my fancharacters. The more the merrier. XD
Dawn: Thank you for your advice, some of what you suggested are things I already do. But others are quite new, I might try them as well.
Lea: Your idea is interesting, thanks.
Thank you, guys. heart
