Willow padded along the sloping forest path, her front hooves making a ringing sound whenever they struck rock. She casually flicked an ear at a falling leaf, then perked both of her ears foward as she heard a sound. It sounded like...a river?
She bounded ahead, fighting her way through the dense underbrush. Several twigs and leaves caught in her coat, but Willow barely noticed. Breaking though the forest boundry, a peaceful landscape layed itself out before her. There was a river, not rushing at all, just moving along lazily. To the east was a mountain range, and across the river a meadow filled with lilacs and daisys. Willow cried out with delight,
"This place is wonderful! A stream, a meadow, forests and a view of the mountains!" She looked a little closer and saw a little stone bridge leading across the river, with just enough room under it that it seemed warm, dry, and inviting.
She scrambled down a grassy hill, skidding to a stop before the stream, sending pebbles everywhere. Cautiously, she dipped her nose into the water, suprised at how warm it was.
I suppose it gets much colder come winter...
She mused to herself. She scrambled back farther away from the water, and began to groom herself, removing all the leaves and twigs which had stuck to her coat.

Danzo was silently drifting in the water, his tail helping him stay afloat and steer along the river. This was an ideal place for him. No one around but nature, and he could be alone with the fresh air and his thoughts. He could just float on the water all day, lost in his thoughts.
Turning over slightly, his ears perked up at the sound of tromping. Someone was close by, and that someone didn't seem to be the one that would respect his privacy and desire for silence.
Diving under the water so only his tail was showing, Danzo made his way under the bridge, where she hopefully wouldn't find him. Whoever she was, she was talking to herself for goodness sakes!
He pulled himself up onto the bank, glad for the shade the bridge provided. Shaking himself slightly dry, he was amused to find that the interloper had hooves and a horn. Maybe watching her could provide some entertainment.

After Willow had groomed all the twigs and leaves out of her fur, she sat straight and looked around again. She had grown hot after all that fighting though the underbrush, maybe a dip in the river would cool her down. The river was warm, but not too warm. She picked her way down the rolling slope, until she heard her hooves make clip clop sounds on the pebbles that bordered the stream.
Lifting her head, she inhaled the scents from the river, the forest, the meadow, and even some from the distant mountains. There was one scent that was quite out of place, an ulaya scent. She perked her ears, wondering if there was another ulaya here. She sniffed again, but the scent was masked by something, so she couldn't define it.
Willow shrugged her shoulders, and cautiously waded into the stream, sending ripples everywhere. A school of fish swarmed up to her, investigating this strange newcomer that had invaded their aquatic world. She swished her tail a bit, sending water droplets everywhere, and the fish scattered, to regroup a little ways away. Willow laughed, she planned on coming here more often, it was just so...so pure.

Danzo, who was still watching the Yunin, didn't move at all as she waded into the water. His face turned into a scowl as she laughed at apparently nothing. Talking and giggling with no one... she must be quite a ditz. A ditz that he didn't care to watch anymore. It might rot his brains.
Though if he tried to sneak away now, she would notice. Oh well. He had no intention of staying with an empty-minded girl, so ignoring her would be easy.
He slipped into the water, trying his best to avoid splashing. Danzo stole a glance back at the brown figure before proceeding away from her.

Willow tilted her head, she had distinctly heard a soft splash. She swivaled her ears, trying to pinpoint the direction it had come from. She saw some ripples come out from under the bridge. Perhapes there was something under there?
She eased herself out into the center of the stream, paddling easily, but not disturbing the water too much. She saw another school of fish flit about under her, but she concentrated on the bridge.
Willow swam over to the bridge, its shadow cooling down the water. She shivered for a moment, then grew accustomed to it. She thought she saw something white bobbing on the surface of the water. She took a breath, and dipped down beneath the surface.

Well ok. She was following him now. Danzo figured that would happen, but again, he was just going to ignore her. Eventually, she would get tired of this silly chase and go back to playing with imaginary friends, leaving him alone. She did seem like the type to have a weak will after all.
He scowled more, seeing that she was in fact keeping up with him. Walking in the water wasn't going to shake her off any time soon. Danzo plunged deeper in the water, swimming and gaining speed in each stroke. He told himself to keep going, she'll get tired eventually, and he could have some peace when she gives up.

As Willow dipped below the surface, she saw the figure of a Ulaya swimming away. She held her breath and speeded after him, or at least, she thought it was a him. It was difficult to tell in the water. Her hooves were more of a hinderance than a help, but her horn was quite useful. It sliced though the water, making her more streamlined.
She dipped up and down, keeping pace with the male ulaya, she could definatly tell it was a male now. Her lungs were hurting for oxygen, so she took a quick breath above, then dived down again, chasing after the other ulaya.
She was getting rather tired, but decided with a glower that this was what the ulaya was trying to do. He didn't want her in his special place. She glared at the figure ahead of her, and the thought drove her on even harder.

Danzo stole a quick peek back, and was surprised to see her still following. With more strength than before. Now a part of him said to keep going, but the other half that emerged told him that running away started this mess and it will continue it. Poking his nose out of the water and then ducking back under the surface, he contemplated on whether talking with her would solve things better than shaking her off. Sure talking to her might waste his time, but this chase wasn't going to let up anytime soon. A fact that he regret to acknowledge.
A turn in the stream was ahead of him. With a quick flick of his tail, Danzo drove himself to the edge, swimming strokes turning into walking as the water grew shallower. He stopped and shook himself wildly, drying himself and causing his fur to go fluffy in the meanwhile. He didn't care about his appearance for now, since she probably would be pissed at him avoiding her. Telling himself to talk the Yunin out of this nonsense and leave him alone, his blue eyes settled on the shape in the water.
"What is it you want?"

Willow was angry. How dare this ulaya just run! She gnashed her teeth. Her fur was wet through, and her legs sore. She heard him call, and thought to herself, Well, I guess he finally decided to aknowlege my presence. She walked out of the water, not bothering to shake herself off, it would just make her fur puff up and she would look, well, like this ulaya did now. It was so...un dignified.
She sat there soaking wet, glaring at the male ulaya. She said in a snarky voice,
"I want to know why a ulaya would just swim away, its rude. Unless you're someone who runs away from all his problems, you know, a coward" She knew it was rude, but it felt good after the good chase this male had led.
Taking a moment, she felt a sharp pain in her back paw. She lifted it up and looked. A sharp stone had wedged itself in between the pads of her paw. She reached back and yanked it out. She hissed a little, at the pain and that it would hurt for a few more days. She tossed the stone back into the river.

Danzo listened as she ranted on, wet and seething with anger. He expected such from someone that was happy and carefee that she assumed that everyone would love to talk to her and be friends. Yes, he might have been rude, trying to ignore her and swim away. But a coward? How was not wanting to be with someone cowardly? It's his nature, not a sign of being a chicken.
"Maybe I just don't want to hang around you. I was perfectly content in being alone by the river until you showed up, so I'm just trying to find solitude again."
He became silent when she hissed at a sharp rock digging into her foot. With mild concern, he watched as she yanked it out and threw it into the river.
It could be his fault that she got hurt, but whatever.

Willow glared at him, she couldn't believe someone could possibly be this rude! She frowned, obviously this ulaya had had no proper manners at any point in his life. She hissed angrily, glared at him again, and said, "Well if thats the way you want it, fine!"
She limped off towards the river, hissing whenever she stepped down on the injured paw. She slipped into the stream, paddling her way back towards the bridge, the water felt cool against her paw.

Danzo scoffed, finally glad that she was gone. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again was how the saying went. Whirling around and heading in the opposite direction, he made note that preppy cheerful people were more easily hurt with verbal abuse.
Stopping suddenly, a thought struck him. The image of her paw injured and her limping away staying in his mind, no matter what. Though she looked ok, Danzo still felt a bit bad about that. A tiny bit. He could just ask and leave, that should be alright. His dignity couldn't dip any lower after all.
"Is your paw alright?" He muttered, turning and taking a step forward towards where the Yunin was swimming.

Willow turned in suprise, this rude ulaya had asked if she was feeling alright. She shook her head once, sorting out this new information, and said slowly, not wanting to provoke him any more than she already had, "It stings, but I'm sure with a herbal mixture it'll feel better"
She pricked her ears curiously, flicking them back and forth. Perhapes there was another side to this apparently rude ulaya that she hadn't noticed.

She waited to see if he would say anything else, and looked out at the sparkling river. There was a little splash, and Willow's eyes widened, and she said, "I think there are rainbow trout in there." Calmly though, her new, 'friend' didn't seem to like excitement. She trotted over to the bank, limping a bit because of her hurt pawhoof, and peered in the water. Sure enough, there were some good size trout swimming around near the bottom.

Herbal mixture? Danzo hadn't thought that whoever she was would know such a skill. It was practical, yes, but it took him by surprise all the same.
"Well ok then." He murmered under his breath, hoping that she wouldn't hear. Also taking a step towards the river, he saw the fish that she was talking. He knew how to catch it, spending his whole life by the water, but could she?
"Do you want to catch it?" Danzo said in his usual monotone, though with a bit of interest.
