The dark room expanded several hundred feet behind the Maester's office. It is lined with tall windows, every other curtain opened to let in light. Black tables are scattered around. On the walls hang intricate paintings done by the Maester.
The room provides a secretive meeting place, since the only way in is through the office. Two gargoyles sit proudly in front of the door, blocking it. When a member of the Black Lotus presses his or her hand to the gargoyle's chest, the large beast steps aside, admitting only the one who touches it. If another were to sneak in, the gargoyle would kill the intruder, regardless of his intent.

Ren stepped through the door and lightly pressed her fingertips the the left gargoyle, who promptly stepped aside. She walked in and looked about. "Still too light..." She said as she began to tug the heavy curtains closed, until only two let in the sun. "Better." She said, sitting down at a highly polished table, and began to read through papers left around.

Baiyu led Ren into the room and sat down at one of the tables. "Soo, what are we going to do today?"
Ren shrugged her shoulder and looked out one of the open windows. "I dunno. I should find my Flank, and see what he has..."

Albiore entered the daunting Black Lotus castle, looking around. "Heh. Not too bad..."

Baiyu saw Albiore from between the gargoyles and crawled over the left one's shoulder. "Yo!" He smiled. "Slightly dark interior, but not uncomfortable. She's doing her paperwork, and she'll be done in a minute.. or hour... if she falls asleep again.."

Albiore nodded. "Not too shabby decor. Could use some interior lighting but bad, though. Reminds me a bit of my own quarters..."

Baiyu nodded. "Last place we lived in was dirty... covered in dried blood and whatnot. That's why I hate moving in times of war, but I dealt with it. This is nice, because when she's in a good mood, she lets me open windows.." Baiyu laughed. "That's like the ultimate joy with her. She sleeps ALOT."

He laughed. "It is a good way to pass the time. But if she likes the open air so much, why not go for a smaller locale, with a bit more light?"

Baiyu shrugged. "It's in her nature, I guess. She loves contradicting herself... One day she wants to be gloomy, the next she brings in plants and lets in a little too much light... It's confusing sometimes, but you eventually get used to it..."
Ren walked in and poked Baiyu. "You're just slow.." She looked at Albiore and smiled. "Evening, I think..."

"Hipocrisy is the sign of an open mind."
Albiore nodded his greetings to Ren. "And what a lovely evening it is. I've always thought castles looked better by candlelight..."

Ren nodded. "I suppose, depends on the person I guess. Baiyu hates wandering by candlelight, because one of the gargoyles upstairs likes to follow him."
Baiyu shivered slightly. "Gives me the creeps... If I didn't know any better I'd say he liked me..."
Ren nodded. "You tend to be gullible... You make it WAY too easy to mess with you."

Albiore laughed. "In my castle, I'm the thing that goes bump in the night. It's so entertaining to follow the Ranked around and see what they're up to... especially the cute females..."

Baiyu nodded. "Ren has about One hundred..."
"Two hundred fourteen."
Baiyu rolled his eyes. "....Two hundred fourteen gargoyles that wake up and guard the castle.... one of them likes to follow me around and pop around corners..." Baiyu nodded towards the ones that guarded the main hall. "Those two have absolutely no sense of humor."
Ren laughed. "They have a good sense of humor. You just happen to be on the a** end of the joke..."

Ren nodded. "I have the occasional spirit or created item, but gargoyles are definitely preferred. They don't talk back and they tend to scare Baiyu." Ren smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "And they're so adorable!"
Baiyu rolled his eyes and leaned towards Albiore. "She's crazy."
