This is a subject I have long looked at and have had a great amount of curiosity in. Think about it: Rock Lee does not have all the traits of a human being. Though he may seem like your average up-beat teenager, Lee has some almost demonic qualities. His split personality is the most prominate. Has anyone ever noticed that sometimes when he is in a dire-straights fight, Lee's eyes grown even darker than their original blackness? His face becomes blank and he does not express any emotions at all. When fighting Raiga, he mearly states that he is angry and progresses the fight without showing any signs of rage. His powers and abilities are also beyond human comparison. When Lee uses the Suiken style, Gai-sensei has described Lee as a monster or demon that would not withold any force at all. During all of his brawls with villians, the question "Is he even human?" has risen. In answer to that question, I think that Lee is a demon (hence the name "green beast") in humanoid form or a Fallen Angel. Rock Lee's symbol is often a dragon, so that also relates to him being a demon. In volume 10 of the Naruto manga, he is drawn with a dragon behind him and a marking on his cheek, possibly a mark that distinguishes him as a demon (or Fallen Angel). When things like that happen, Lee tends to hide quickly; covering up all traces of the event in his mind and starts a fight. It is possible that it is an attempt to keep his true form suppressed or a secret. The list of evidence could go on for much longer, but I would like to hear what you all have to say. Could Rock Lee be a Demon looking for a path of Redemption or a Fallen Angel hoping to heal his broken heart and broken wings?

Well, here's what I think:
Rock Lee is certainly a very unique person. He can be the most wonderful human you've ever met...So polite, nice, full of honor, trusting, loyal, and faithful. However, it is also true that he does have a certain "dark" side, if you will. I believe that while he is nice to the people he meets, it might be possible(as much as I hate to think about it)that it might be a simple "cover-up" of sorts. For example, when you're fighting, you're not supposed to hold back, so that might be when he's showing his "true self": the one with memories of when he was teased as a kid, or had difficulties growing up. Since he still has those memories and now has the power, he's perhaps thinking, "Now I can actually DO something!" and that's when the darkness starts to show. I wouldn't exactly call him a "demon", but I would definitely say that he has a very demonic side. However, as he gets more and more used to the good values(which I think he's always had, anyway), the demonic side will start to become supressed and the angelic side will come to the surface and become the "natural" side. However, no matter how much one is supressed, it will always be there and come out in the absolute worst of times. It scares me to think of what would happen if Lee were fighting alongside Sakura or Gai and one of them died due to the enemy. He might snap, but I'm afraid to write more, simply because of my own weakness; that is, I don't want to think about it. Oh, and about the dragon thing: Kishimoto has OFTEN tried to tie him to dragons, yes, but I think dragons are hardly demonic. They're valliant, strong, and proud...much like our Rock Lee.
Ah, so that ends my response. I hope you can give me one in return.

Kurokane Uchiha: I am glad that you read my topic. Sorry about the whole PM thing, it still bothers me... I think you are a very insightful and kind person. I agree with you in everything you have stated, give or take a few words. I like the way you think, but yes, it would be disturbing to see his full power. Especially of Gai or Neji died... I had a strange dream once when his entire team except Neji died and they had to fight this giant evil guy... Neji died later on and Lee became this cross of a black dragon and fallen angel type thing... he pretty much slaughtered everything living in the room within seconds... I wonder if that could actually happen, though I don't think Kisimoto-sensei will kill Neji, Tenten, and Gai because they are too popular and just do bloomin awesome XD. It would be neat to see, but who knows, Kisimoto may have another way of showing Lee's true colors. What he could do besides kill someone, I don't know... or what if that marking from volume 10 actually existed, was somehow discovered to be something relating to a "beast" and Lee was considered a threat to the village? What do you think about that or another alternative?
timoZ lord of hallows: I mean as in Lee HIMSELF is the demon or dark angel, not one sealed in his body. There aren't enough Biju for that type of "demon" occurance, you are right about that.

i think everyone in the naruto universe has those scars in their past it is what makes them so likeable but what i want to see is more of a backstory on gai-sensei i mean it has never even shown him as a kid and you are right he is well liked, yet kakashi gets this entire 3 chapter spin-off manga on his origins?

I personaly say he is a fallen angel trying to heal his bones and wings after his trouble in the academy. By him becoming a great ninja he can once again look those same students in the face who laughed at him in school and say look at me now.
