Today I was rping with a couple friends with a little bit of a RP that was just for fun, and then I was telling my room mate about it. She wanted in on it.. and moreso.. she wanted it on Gaia so everyone can get in on it!

Everyone that wishes to participate, this is outside of the Syndicate, so you don't have to use your Gaian characters!

What this game covers:
Everything. There will be touches of D&D, Legend of Zelda, Halo, Doom, Drakengard, and loads more.

What you can bring in.

Anything! Mages, beasts, humans, elves, mutants. Just try and think out your character!
Post your character under this thread, and once approved you will be whisked away to Death Match Dungeons! (referred to here on out as DMD)

How the RP will work.

Once you are approved (it won't be hard, I'll have guidelines in the next post) you can post to the main thread. Where you will apear in one of the main areas of the Map. (the map has many regions, each separate areas, but each connected in certain places.) Fortress, lava dome, forest, dessert, swamp, caves, mountain and dead zone.

What each region is like:
Fortress: One freakishly huge building of rooms and halls, crawling with monsters, guards and stairs going up, each floor looks like it's come from a different era and time-line. But all have that 'sameness' feel that is easy to get lost in.

Lava Dome: HOT HOT HOT! This place has rocky paths and exposed bubbling pools of lava. Watch out for the critters that like napping in the lava pools! And some of those dead ends, are really dead ends!

Forest: by far the largest area. Endless paths of woodland and small shallow caves.

Caves: This is a network of underground labyrinth of darkness.

Dessert: All sand.. hot dry sand.... and in the distance... one can see water... But it's crueler than an illusion.. it's the sea

Swamp: bogs and the mosquitoes are not the only things you gotta look out for here!

Mountain: Always snowing, cold and treacherous cliffs. Icy paths and dangerous wintery beasts are common.

Dead Zone: More dangerous than the underground Caves by far, the dead zone is where the undead, the demons and the unspeakables live. Shadow and darkness combine to make your worse nightmares come to life.

You just randomly appeared from whatever you where doing before, to finding yourself staring at a place that you where not at before. It's not home, and you only have what you where holding at the time.
You find yourself staring up at a Totem pole. For those familiar with the carved native American piece of woodwork, it seems a little odd as if each animal was both familiar.. and not.
And for those who don't know what it is.. You do know that it's glowing and you distinctly heard a voice coming from it.
Overly Cheerful and annoying at that.
"WELCOME!"

Your Application:

Character Name:

What genre: (our world, D&D, game series, orignal, ect)

Species: (human, elf, purple people eater)

Background: (what did your character do before they where kidnapped for this game?)

Rolling Dice.

For certain things you will within your post be required to roll a Die (use the 'post action, roll dice')

When you submit your application. It will not be complete if it does not include a dice roll action.
Roll a 8 sided die, this cast will say which of the 8 zones you start out in. Fortress, lava dome, forest, dessert, swamp, caves, mountain and dead zone.

fortress: 1
Lava Dome: 2
Forest: 3
Dessert: 4
Swamp: 5
Caves: 6
Mountain: 7
Dead Zone: 8

Another section that will require a Die cast, Leaving a Safe Zone.

This is a 2 die cast. 8 sided die used.
The first number, tells you if the zone has moved or not. If the number is 5 or lower, you have not moved. Ignore the second die.
If the number is 6, 7, or 8.. then the second die number will tell you which zone you have been moved to!

Other things will also require a die roll... I'll update when I figure them out.

Zones connect to each other with entrances and exits in certain areas, and somewhere along a 'boarder' one can get into another zone.
zone 6 and 8 are different in that 6 is below ground, meaning that entrances and exits exist over the entire landscape, but not always reliably. An entrance or exit you used yesterday, may not be there tomorrow.
zone 8 is actually located ABOVE everything and there exit only one reliable method, which is to climb to the very TOP of zone 7, OR the less reliable, keep entering and exiting safe zones.
But zone 8 is extreamly dangerous and anyone going there.... expect to possibly die. Very fast.

Accepted.

He is serrounded in darkness and can hear strange vioces, something dangerous is moving in on him.....
And suddenly he's hit by something fast, pink and did it just say 'mew?'

He wakes up again in a stone hall.

(because the Dead Zone is instant death unless you are prepared for it, anyone landing there will be blasted into another area chosen at random by me. So you can now start in the RP thread, starting near the main entrance of zone 1, The Fortress)

Character Name:Kaldek Torsh

What genre: D&D, a world that me and my gaming group has been developing based loosely around 40k.

Species: Dwarf

Background: Thousands of years ago the Emperor of mankind rose to deity hood and began leading his race on several great crusades to concur their continent. The Dwarven population was fighting a costly and losing war with the Elves, who the humans were also fighting due to having been enslaved by them. The Dwarves quickly allied and swore allegiance to the emerging power.

The Emperor quickly sent a legion and one of his best Generals to help the dwarven war effort and to ensure the loyalty of the other nation. One of the many rituals/ symbols of fealty was the greatest dwarven warriors being assigned as the personal body guard on the general. The generals existing guard who was extremely xenophobic and not willing to allow the most elite of a single race near their charge came up with a compromise the dwarves would be allowed serve, but would be striped of their arms and armor.

This did not stop the dwarves as stubborn as ever and not willing to take a purely ceremonial roll the began training in the arts of unarmed and unarmored combat and developed their own marital art. After numerous battles where they proved their worth and skill and a final battle upon which the general achieved sainthood and became known as the Savior of Stone. They were no longer needed and disbanded to a daily life. They however opted to maintain an ascetic monastery that was dedicated to their new art form.

Generations later Kaldek Torsh is one of the young members of this enclave, and after a particularly nasty battle with a Field Drake in the neighboring town that gives the monastery most of its news and previsions he was granted permission to leave and go about the world in an attempt to find a great secret. Not knowing where to begin he began meditations to guide him. Suddenly he has found him self transported to a strange land...
