Hey guys! Everything should be back to normal concerning Captain attendance starting the 13th or the 14th. I've been running around doing some personal stuff as well, and drama has come up in real life, blah-di-blah-di-blah. c: All of that's been more or less cleared up now, though, and Glory should be getting ready to sever itself from its relatives soon, too.

The referral contest was a blast and went rather well--we may have another one in the near future, so keep an eye out for that. The crew have been plotting some new contests and whatnot for you in The Workstation, so don't fret--we're not just sitting on our behinds and forgetting about you. ;P

All in all, I think the first two weeks of this Guild's life has been a rocking success, wouldn't you say? I would. Give yourselves a pat on the back!

YOU. GUYS. ARE. AMAZING. In the span of 24 hours, we've gathered 30 more members--all due to referrals. Way to go! You can imagine my surprise when I checked to see the Join Requests this morning and no matter how many times I clicked "Accept", the list never seemed to end. c:

We (the crew and I) in the middle of thinking up new contests and games for you guys--expect new threads created and the like around the Guild.

I'd also like to remind you guys to read each thread you post in before you participate in the contests and giveaways (even the cheap sealed letter handouts), because each thread has its own set of rules to follow in order to be able to participate in each.

Glory won't be on much this week starting tomorrow due to family coming over and an overnight trip to Paris, France. If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to any of the other crew members (mainly Moose and Flox). As such, Glory will only be signing on occasionally to check up on the Guild and start trades for sealed letters as long as its family is here. It will be back fairly soon.

Hey guys! Here to tell you that we've almost doubled our membership in 1 day. Way to advertise! I'm kind of dead on my feet right now, so bear with me here. Speaking of advertising, I created a new subforum specifically for that, along with a work station subforum for the crew. Now you can advertise your quests, threads, or what-have-yous whenever you want. Both subforums are still under heavy construction, though, so access won't be granted until further notice. Stay tuned.

The Guild is officially open. Non will go around inviting people. If you've stumbled upon us through a friend, be sure to tell us who referred you--we have a contest up for that at the moment. Browse around, read everything you have to read, and we should all get along just fine. :B Other than that, copulation and inappropriate touching is being held at The Lounge. Go visit, before Glory is forced to eetchoo. domokun

Update: I've noticed that every time I perform an action throughout the Guild and subforums, Gaia gives me this message:

GaiaOnline
General Error

An Error Occurred

Just go ahead and click the back button on your browser a few times, and it should back you out of the message and put you back into the Guild. Refresh the page. The action you perform will still have been done, so don't worry about saving your posts or anything. There's nothing we can do to fix this problem. All we can do is hope Gaia fixes this bug sometimes soon, because quite frankly, it's gotten to be really annoying. Other than that, try to have fun despite the glitch. c:

BEWARE OF HACKERS/SCAMMERS

GaiaOnline
Never Share Your Password
Your Gaia password should always be kept private. If somebody gets your password, they can do all sorts of bad things: they can lock you out of your account, steal your items, change your profile, pretend to be you, and cause lots of trouble. You should never give your password to anyone except your parents. Even giving your password to friends is a very bad idea! Gaia moderators and administrators will never ask you for your password by e-mail, by PM, or by any other means.

If anyone asks for your Gaia Online password, it's a scam! Don't share it!

Be Careful when Following Offsite Links
If a link looks fishy, don't click it! Avoid clicking hyperlinks that lead to sites with strange, offensive, or confusing names. They could send you to sites that contain gross pictures, harmful software, or scams that will try to steal your password. Think before you click! Make sure you're going to a site that you trust.

Even if it looks like GaiaOnline, if a click ever logs you out that is NOT the logout button, do not log in. Go to http://www.gaiaonline.com and make sure you weren't falsely logged out.

Protect Your Account
Most accounts that get "hacked" (and have all their gold and items stolen) are the result of users giving away their password. The most effective way to protect your account is to never give away your password to anyone, not even your friends. If you believe your password has been compromised, change it right away!

Also, we advise against letting anyone else use your account. If you let a friend use your account, you are responsible for anything that they post. If they break the rules, you might get banned!

Recognize Scams
There are a few common ways that scammers try to break into people's accounts. Most of them involve scammers tricking you into giving them your password. For example, a scammer might send you an e-mail or a private message claiming to be an administrator and telling that you will be made a moderator if you give them your password, or they might threaten to ban your account if you don't reveal your password. These are scams; real moderators will never ask you for your password. Please report these PMs or e-mails to the moderators immediately. Remember that real moderators and administrators have colored usernames so you can easily recognize them.

Other scammers might send you links that look just like Gaia Online's homepage and ask you to log in, and then steal the username and password you log in with. Before logging in to Gaia, make sure that you are actually at the gaiaonline.com domain name.

Some scammers send links to sites that promise to transfer free gold into your account if you give them your username and password. These sites do not work; they just collect your username and password so that they can steal gold and items from your account.

The best thing to remember is that if anyone asks for your password, it's a scam!

Report Suspicious Members and Inappropriate Content
If you receive any message that asks for your account information, or that you feel might be a scam for any reason, please fill out a scamming report:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/gaia/report.php?r=2

If your account has been compromised by a hacker or scammer and they've stolen gold and items from you, please fill out a hacking report:
