If we're going to talk about other authors, we have to mention L. K. She's much to amazing to go unmentioned, though she's gone very far into the sex and less and less into the plot. I heard Blood Noir (which is coming out on my b-day June 3rd) is going to be a little less sex and a little more action. I hope so.
Anyone else read the Anita Blake series or Merrideth Gentry series?
If Anita could only have one guy, which one do you think she would choose, and which one would you choose for her??

I agree with you that she's basically just erotica at the moment. And hopefully she will get back to the plot. I really enjoyed the earlier books and I kept reading her books in hopes they will change back. I'm talking about the Anita Blake series lol... I'm excited about Blood Noir coming out, Jason as always been a favorite character of mine.
The MG series is based on the fact that she has to have a baby so I don't really expect to see anything except sex. I've only read the first two of that series and quit reading them >.<

For MG theres actually a bit more than sex than you would have thought, though there is plenty of it. I won't ruin it for you, but some amazing things happen. What I love the most is the fact that she uses so many different type of fae and fae legends... if you want a spoiler to encourage further reading, let me know ^^
The first few from A. B. are fantastic. After Obsidian Butterfly though, she starts getting more and more erotic and less action/plot. I've heard whispers that Blood Nior will be more of her action stuff. Harlequin wasn't that bad though, but I feel it was more of a filler book than anything else.

I haven't read the MG series in a long time and all I remember is the race for the babies part. Maybe I'll look into the rest of the books, I really enjoy her style of writing.

I think she would choose one of the shifters... Micah or Nathanial probably. But that's just my opinion!

Oh I love Laurell K! She was the reason I got into fantasy, when I ran out of MG books to read I accidently picked up one of Kim's and started reading it and fell in love.
Back to MG. I agree the sex is a lot in MG, but it always leads to something, and it doens't always go into deep detail, some of them are just quickies that leads to something bigger.
I read a little of the AB, but couldn't get into them.

@ Scarlet: AB takes some getting into, but the story is great if you can wade through the sex scenes in the later books. MG is fantastic. I can't wait for the next one!^^

I don't know where the AB series is headed anymore... She has the thing with Jean-Claude and Richard then the thing with Damien and Nathaniel... I'm thinking she will have to choose sooner or later between a few of the guys not all of them since that preggo scare. I can't wait for Blood Noir to be released :[

Blood Noir's release date just got kicked up a week. It will now be released on May 27th, 2008
