Approximately 15-16 years old
Goldish-brown eyes, black hair, fair skin. Of course, she usually ends up wearing dark lipstick, usually of purple, blue or black. Except for her school uniform, EVERYTHING has to be dark, red or white. Nothing bright for her main sets of clothes. She mostly wears stuff, like, say, a black net shirt over a dark red dress for formal occasions, and she will wear this same shirt over her normal clothes of black or dark color. Whenever she wears jewelry, it is usually silver with onyx, ruby or garnet settings.
Why does Yoshiko always prefer dark stuff? She is obsessed with it. If she had the choice of going to the park or the cemetary, she'd go to the cemetary unless it was nighttime. Then she would go to the park. Even with the lights there was plenty of mystique for her. Being a lover of things considered dark, she also has a like of magic, which most people would believe to be nonsense before. Yoshiko, however, is very serious. She doesen't like being surprised, or would believe in real-life magical powers - yes, ghosts and souls exist, but no magical powers within the living body...
...just yet, anyway - she will have the DNA of a spider within her soon, waiting to be unearthed. Her family bonds are strong, and she respects one - yeah, one - of her elders. Her grandmother. Of course, her parents, who can be mad with Yoshiko at times, believe that their mother or stepmother is getting the effects of old age and that Yoshiko's taking advantage. Not true - Yoshiko's grandmother loves chatting with her about the darkness, souls and that sort of thing.
Her current favorite food is granola bars. Even better with peanut butter flavor, but she won't eat jelly or jam. Ugh.

Today was a tough time in school. I've never liked surprises. Hey, how would you feel if you got a picture taken for the yearbook without your permission?
Well, first, log. You know Kaiji-kun, right? ::checks journal::
Apparently not. Kaiji Akira, around my age. Same grade. Moved here last year. Tannish skin and blood-red hair. Friend...ish. For some reason he's Japanese and with tanned skin? Weird. Prolly sunned himself. Hate that, but the Kaijis are the only family here with people 'round my age. Fun. He took my picture for the yearbook today at lunchtime.
Parents mad at me again. They fail to accept who I am, they think obaa-san's going nuts... something is totally wrong. We like the night, ghosts, souls, that sort. But nooooooo. Got to be be a total critic for things like the color of my lipstick. Among others.
Going to go to bed soon, maybe talk to obaa-san before that, but I've no more time to write. 'Night.

School today was as good as normal. Not that there's anything normal about life, anyway. So school was insane. Or nuts. Or anything but normal. Kaiji-kun was sick today though so I didn't really do much of nothing fun.
Obaa-san's still fine. Interesting conversation about magic. She believes that magic is everywhere, that even we are full of it. I think it's within the dead, but we've none. At the least, she actually cares, unlike my parents. Just quit yelling at me, you two! And you know who you are!

No school today. Geez, am I lucky. At the least, I took some time to work on schoolwork due tommorow. Then I visited Kaiji-kun. Or make that more like attempted to. His mother shooed me out. Is she paranoid that I want to date him or something? And I don't even like him like that! Of course, he's still got a cold. Ah, well.
As for my parents, they were actually nice to me for once. Of course, I didn't even get out of my pajamas until later today, and I was a little lazy so I just put on a shirt, jeans and a coat. I'll bet you never get tired, do you? I'm probably goi

Sorry for not posting here in a million years... OK, not a million years. A few months, yes. Life's becoming really hectic. My best friend's parents moved away, and so did Kaiji-kun. I can still communicate via letters and the like... if I were able to. I think my parents are hiding their address from me... I hate otou-san, and and okaa-san... and I hate my life too. Let me hope something, anything, will come around and change it...
