Name: Kimiko Shuuji
Name Meaning: Respectful Child's Penmanship
Age: 20
Birthdate: June 24th
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 135lbs
Blood Type: A-
Hair: Reddish-brown, shoulder-length
Eyes: Hazel
Likes: Stuffed animals, comics, computers, roleplaying, drawing, photography, sleeping in
Dislikes: Small children, large animals, the thought of ever having children, alarm clocks, country music, idiots, over-zealous "religious folks", having to get up earlier than she pleases
Fears: Heights, spiders, large crowds, death, abandonment
Bad Habit: Procrastinating
Has Trouble With: Speaking up clearly

Personality: At best, Kimiko is described as being a moody little creature. Although generally silent most of the time, the woman has her moments, and can be anywhere from enraged to depressed, all over nothing. Her own family can't quite grasp why she gets worked up over the silliest things, chalking it up instead to the brunette either having mental problems or simply being "addicted to that damn computer". When not working, Kimiko is usually found holed up in her room, drawing, playing a game, or simply watching TV.

If it was one thing Kimiko quickly learned, it was that Japan wasn't the way it was in those cartoons she watched. First off, the American tourist figured out, was that her ignorance of learning the Japanese language (aside from some fangirl Japanese, which she had used to piece together her fake name) did not get her very far in Tokyo. Not everyone knew English, and Shuuji herself couldn't understand half of what people were telling her.

Second was that whining that one wasn't a terrorist while being held up in Customs just made matters worse. It took a good half of the day, as well as some skilled interpreters, to finally get matters under control. The fact that she had decided to play with her camera during then didn't help, either.

Now, the brunette was wandering around the Harajuku district, staring wide-eyed at the costumes that some wore about. Back home, if she had tried to wear something like that, she would have never heard the end of it from people, especially her mother.

Sighing, Kimiko squinted at a road sign, attempting to figure out just where the hell she was.

"Why can't they make these things easier for meeeeee?" she whined, earning a few stares from some passerby. Supposedly undaunted, the future 'Pumpkin Queen' continued on her quest for a hotel...a foreigner-friendly one at that.

Ooh...she'd find it. Or Shuuji was seemingly doomed to spend eternity (or at least until she could catch/afford the next flight out) walking around.

One or the other.

Searching around for decent accomodations took forever, it seemed. In reality, it had been only fifteen minutes, but in the mind of the brunette tourist, that was long enough. Sighing, she lugged her roll-along suitcase with her as she made a stop at the park. It was a rather pretty park, much bigger than the ones back home where she lived, with plenty of flowering cherry blossom trees (all of which seemed to be showering petals as if this was a CLAMP production), a lake, and well...

The place was just so dang peaceful.

Stopping for a moment, Kimiko let go of her suitcase momentarily as she stretched, trying to keep herself from getting too sore from walking around. The young adult was rather unsure as to how much longer this would take, and the last thing Shuuji needed was to flop over from exhaustion before the quest was complete. That would be bad...very bad... she mused mentally.

At that moment, the brunette heard a rustling sound in a nearby bush, around the same time she saw a flash of brown and something...lapine-like. Curious, as she was a big rabbit lover, Miss Shuuji forgot all about her luggage as she followed the sound, camera in hand. Don't ask how she got said item out so quickly; wonders never cease to amaze.

Finally, Kimiko had reached the location. Camera poised, she inched closer...

Only to have her foot meet with a conviniently placed rock. Swearing, Shuuji attempted to keep her balance as she felt her center of gravity moving downwards.

"Dontfalldontfalldontfall..."

Of course, gravity doesn't like to listen, and so, she fell, dropping her camera in the process. Oh, this was such a wonderful position to be in...

"I hate you..." Kimiko remarked to nobody in particular, sitting up. Making sure her camera was still intact, she noticed that teh bunneh was gone. Dern.

"Waahh..."

It was evening when she finally found a hotel. A youth hostel, quite actually, but nonetheless, a place to stay. Kimiko was no longer sure just what district she was in, having taken the trains around and around, but in all honesty- why did it matter? Obviously, the young woman had yet to be kidnapped and dragged into a random dark alley, so things were slightly looking up, right?

Digging in her pocket for some yen (amazingly enough, she had actually thought to get her cash converted), Shuuji walked into the building, unsure of what to do. Finally, the short brunette spotted the reception desk and toddled over, looking relatively nervous.

"Konnichiwa," the receptionist greeted, smiling warmly. Kimiko instantly assumed a deer-caught-in-headlines look.

"Erm...ah..." she began, fishing out her phrasebook from her bag, "Eigo o hanasemasu ka?"

Simple enough. 'Do you speak English?' was what the inquiry had been. Deciding to clarify things before the receptionist attempted to converse in Japanese, she tried again.

"Watashi wa nihongo ga sukoshi shika hanasemasen."

There. Kimiko had just explained she could only speak a little bit of Japanese, which was either the truth or a lie, depending on one's definition of 'a little bit.' Fidgeting, she awaited a reply.

"Yes...yes, I do speak English," the female receptionist replied, "How may I help you?"

And so, the 'Pumpkin Queen' attempted to explain that she had just arrived, hadn't arranged for a host family, and was in need of a place to stay. In return, she was told she needed to apply for a membership card, that she'd be sharing a room with other girls, and yadda yadda yadda.

Funny how life worked out. Of course, a room was a room, Kimiko wasn't in the mood to argue, and...

Gee...it was so cheap...

Now hopefully the rest of her stay in Tokyo'd go this well.

Entering her assigned room, she flopped herself onto the available bed, and found herself staring up at...

...Another bed.

"Crap...bunk beds," she groaned. Oh well. Make do with what you can, the saying goes. Sitting up, she opened up her bag, dumping her collection of My Little Ponies onto the bed.

"I wonder if they sell these things here?" she wondered aloud, "That'd be...cool."

It wasn''t clear when the American went to bed, only that it was later than any reasonably normal human being did. Well, unless one counted all the insomniacs and nightowls of the world. Then it didn''t seem so bad.

Either way, Kimiko had been plotting to sleep as long as possible, preferably until morning was long over. Morning was the beginning of the day; the time one usually had to go to work. She rather hated mornings, and preferred afternoons and evenings, when she could go home, feed the rabbits, and sell even more of her soul to the wonderous invention known as the internet.

As luck would have it, the young woman did not get to sleep in, due to the other wonderful ''invention'' known as the hyperactive kid.

"Wakey wakey~!" the little girl chirped, seemingly oblivous to the fact that had Kimiko possessed any weaponry, she''d be long dead.

"Lemme alone..." the brunette grumbled, and attempted to go back to sleep. No such luck, however, as the little girl proceeded to bounce on the bed, an odd thing to do on the bottom bunk of a bunk bed...

"But it''s morrrrning~! And Mummy said we should get to know each others, since you must be from Americas, like us!" the child protested. Kimiko felt rather tempted to tell the girl something that wouldn''t be considered all too ''nice'', but refrained from doing so. She was going to be staying with these people until she could find better accommodations, and quite frankly, ''tramatizing'' the ''precious'' was not the way to go.

Grudgingly, Kimiko got up, much to the delight of the child.

"Yayyyyyyyy~! You got up!" she cheered, "Now to make the bed!"

Screw getting along with the family- Shuuji wanted out. Fast. Before her sanity left her.

It took a good part of the morning to 'make the bed', mainly because the hyperactive child that was now known as Anna (Kimiko had made a note to learn the child's name, so that she may later send a hitman after it) had kept interfering.

Either way, what was done was done, and the next round of torture was soon to come.

Or was it? The brunette quickly made some excuse about being in a hurry to see some dying relative, and made a dash for the park she had visited the day before. Perhaps it was the lack of sleep, or maybe Kimiko wasn't quite in the right frame of mind at the time, but she fully intended on capturing the rabbit from earlier and making it her new pet.

She did have to leave her rabbits behind in America, after all; the animals just couldn't handle the stress of a long flight, not to mention Shuuji hadn't been sure where to room them.

Armed with her camera and a carrot, the girl stepped into the bushes.

"Here, bunny bunny bunnny~" she called, "I have a carrrotttt~"

The rabbit, of course, wasn't at all as stupid as Kimiko might have hoped, and therefore, was not about to budge from its hiding place in the burrow. Dissappointed, but not entirely discouraged, she headed in the direction of some nearby woods. Rabbits hid in the woods, right?

Notes from the Pumpkin Queen

Don't ask how I got that name, by the way. >_>; Something to do with Nightmare Before Christmas.

Anywhoooooooo~

So I arrived in Japan. Big whoop. Learned that little children shall one day be the death to our civilization, chased a rabbit, and met some long haired dude who thinks anything store-bought is crap. Don't remember if I caught his name or not, but I remember hearing something about a Cafe Mew Mew.

Now? I'm stuck living with a very concieted middle schooler named Aizawa Minto. The joys of attempting to convince the local populace that you really are from Japan, even if you can hardly speak the language. Basically, I was wandering about with the camera, her little runt dog started barking at me, and to make a long story short, well...

I don't know why she's letting me stay with her. O_o; Maybe she plans to hand me over to immigration services for reward money. The place is huge, though, and there's maids. heart

Kinda wondering about Miren. D: We were supposed to hitch a ride to Tokyo together, but then she never got on the plane. Hrm...

Bored~ And no closer to mastering this friggin' language, either.

At least I've finally drawn something.

Been listening to Project Runway music over and over, x3. I love "Don't Stop"

Among other things, I have a cold. >>; Other than that, my birthday's coming up, and I'm stuck in a foreign country staying at some uppity rich girl's house.

What did I get myself into?
