Okay, took that Thieves Guild job for Aengoth The Jeweler, the one where you have to steal the Devil Tanto. I went to Balmora via silt strider and had a custom open lock level 100 spell made, titled "Disintegrate Lock". Being level 4, I have a small but still existent chance of casting it. So, I get it. I notice, among a different mage's spell list, Fenrick's Doorjam. I thought, "I wonder..." So, I go back to Ald-Ruhn. I steal the Devil's Tanto. I then place level 10 locks upon every door, including the entrance/exit. I give Aengoth his blade. I go back to the mage's guild, and pick the lock (no report, I was seen locking the door.) I walk inside, and there everyone is. xd Even the enchanter was still inside her locked room.

Scripts like that quest don't check for whether the doors are locked or not.

I realize this, but it was still pretty funny biggrin I've been experimenting with just how much the scripting really does check for, I want to find loop-holes to play with 3nodding could be fun xd

Get everyone in a building to attack you, and lock them in a room. That's the only use i've ever found for the lock spell. and, ACTUALLY, the scripts do. But they NPCs can't use lockpicks, and most don't know unlock spells(but some do! beware).

I've found things NOT to do:

(these all result in being stuck partially through the map/cell)

1.) Turn the crank at Arkngthand/Dagoth Ur and then let the dome doors close on you. Intervention/Recall aside, there's no way to get unstuck.

2.) Jump inside an ancestral tomb/cave with a high acrobatics skill.

3.) Inside of Urshilaku Ancestral Burial, there's a hole in the wall somewhere. Don't exploit it sweatdrop

Things that DON'T result in being stuck:

4.) Equipping a ton of potions (I think the limit's 20) without pausing to let them take effect. The result? Permanently knocked down, heaving for air, regardless of your fatigue level. I sat for FIVE HOURS of real-world time trying to reverse it...

5.) Fortifying your health ridiculously high. It's usually fatal after it wears off.

6.) When in Vivec, on an upper tier of a canton, jump up onto the railing, look down, and then casually walk off the edge. You'll fall off, but if you do it right, you'll land on your feet without taking any damage.

7.) Strangely, if you kill the Ministry of Truth Guard and aren't on the Nerevarine quests, her key is useless. eek

8.) The lady who has the Boots of Blinding speed is a Redguard. Although she is wearing them when you approach her, she can still see just fine. question
Probably not a loophole in the scripting, but still strange.

9.) The island of Solstheim is supposed to contain werewolves. Oddly, on my XBOX GoTY Edition, I've never run into one outside of the BloodMoon quest.

Their is no limit on how much potions you drink. You can Binge Drink 3nodding

That's true, I've done that before (buy up liquor by the dozens xd )

But taking a lot of magic-related potions, not alcohol, always seems to permanently knock me out.

Are you drinking spoiled potions? Drinking a bunch of those could get you knocked down if they drained your fatigue. or cause you to not be able to get up if they drain your agility. I used to mass drink potions a lot and that never happened to me.

And I don't think you can run into werewolves outside of the bloodmoon quests. I think they only exist for the purpose of the missions, and nothing more(or else I'd be using my vamp character to slaughter werewolves)

I tried making a vampire army, but after ten weeks game time of going into hetman abelmawia's hut, using vampire touch once, then leaving, and him STILL not turning into a vampire, I gave up. He's dead. As is the rest of gnisis.

There are "wild" werewolves that you can run into on Solstheim, but they only appear if it is nighttime and they are VERY rare. There are only nine on the entire island. During the day they are naked NPCs with names like "Confused Lunatic" and "Wandering Idiot."

You cannot pass on the curse of vampirism to NPCs without mods. If you've got a PC and want to raise a vampire army, download Vampire Embrace.
