The Alpha Romeo 156 would have to be my dream car. They aren't that expensive, but unreliable and cost a fortune to fix when they break down, plus we'd have to wait weeks to get parts (hence its just a dream car..lol) Apart from that, they are absolutely gorgeous IMHO, and I'd love to wake up every morning looking at its sweet smile in the drive biggrin So, now that I'm probably considered a saddo.. whats your dream car?

in all honesty i wouldnt call our car our dream car, we just got a RALLY good deal on it. our dream cars are actually cars that we would customize into street racing style cars. our dream cars arent on the normal car lot

if there was no spending limit, i would customize a car from scratch. would probably make 2 of them. one would be a street racing car and the other muscle. street racing would just depend on the car. i like styles from lexus, mitsubishi, bmw. just take one of those i like and modify the hell out of it. new wheels, body kit, interior, state of the art crap. of course i would never plan to race it cause im not an idiot. would be for driving and for show. as for the muscle car, my favorite has always been the 69 shelby. loved that car every since i saw it in Gone in 60 Seconds. would modify the interior with new gadgets but i like the body of the 69 shelby. needless to say ive spent nights dreaming of how i would design my car if money wasnt an issue. well back to work crying

lol.
Actually, my dream car is discontinued. I LOVE Pontiac Grand Ams. LOVE them. Very unhappy that Pontiac discontinued making them with the platform change and instead started producing the G6.
It'd be black, so I could name it Betty. If I was sliding on ice (as winters in WI are prone to cause sliding sometimes), I could say, "Woah, Black Betty!" (And so the snow plow doesn't assume it's snow and hit it, like they did with my neighbor's white car.)
And it'd have four doors, so the insurance costs would be lower. (I'm high risk because I was rear-ended and ended up tearing things up in my neck and had to have surgery; the man who hit me didn't have insurance. So, I get to pay the price for the rest of my life. Woohoo.) It'd also have one of those emergency trunk line-things, which is if someone is in the trunk, they can pull the lever and the trunk pops open (as in the case of being kidnapped, etc.). Also, four wheel, all wheel, or front wheel drive. It'd be either four cylinder or six cylinder, though preferably four for gas efficiency. I'd want it to have power steering, power windows and locks, an adjustable driver's seat, a nice(r) sound system (above stock, though I would install my sound system in it), child safety locks, anti-lock breaks, an AC adapter (or two) for my iPod adapter and a navigation system (since On-Star only caters to GM vehicles now). I'd PREFER leather seats, because they don't stain as easily as cloth seats, there would be interior adjustable side mirrors, air conditioning, and heat that actually reaches the back seat (lol).
BUT. Yeah, those cars aren't continued and most of them up here have a lot of miles on them. I've had bad luck with buying used vehicles with high mileage.
So... my dream car is, essentially, any car that is newer, has a great safety rating, and my insurance company likes it enough that my insurance bills are cut a little. (Ack.)
Has everyone seen a Grand Am? If not, I'll post a photo.
