No,no bad dog. The words echoed in his ears as he squeezed his body out of the chainlink fence he remained behind. He hated these city walls.. He was unsure of why there were so many barriers..
He'd once had free reign of the City streets.. Then some no good two legger, picked him up and placed him behind bars.. What had he done to deserve being behind bars? He had no idea.. and the thought made him sad, and he whined a bit as he finally escaped from under the fence.
Pushing himself and running, he was off, and he was free again.
Though he always had a habit of getting caught on these ruthless city streets.. Guess it was just like him, to never learn when enough is enough.

Odette had never once known what having an owner was like. She had been born in the streets and lived so. She never experienced the boundaries of a fence or being fed in a bowl. The city was her backyard, and whatever was thrown into the garbage cans was her daily meal. She knew a handful of pups from the suburbs that had run away. They often did not mean much to her; they often returned to their owners, or were intent on getting as far away from their home as possible, and left the city within days.
Walking down an alleyway, the dark collie's amber eyes scanned ahead. Ahead, she saw cars driving down the street, some people passing by without giving her a second thought. It was no problem. Her goal wasn't their attention anyway; it was to see what had been thrown into the garbage can next to the restaurant nearby.

The Husky-Shepherd mutt of a dog galloped along the streets, with the busy cars bustling around him. He was used to the sounds, and took them with ease, making sure to watch out for small children or walking feet..
After all.. Small children's parents would come at you if you stopped to sniff the child.. Cause 'you have germs'.. He grumbled. He liked kids..
His new home currently didn't support the kid need. He lived with a working woman, and a loser man. The woman fed him, took care of him, while the man dealt the discipline.
He growled at the thought of his humans. He liked it better on the streets, he did.
His massive paws took off, and he spun himself down an alleyway, where he slowed..
Finally.. Peace and..partial safety.
