xd I don't even want to think about how long mine would be. I've accumulated hundreds of rocks, minerals, gems, and mineraloid over time. Many of which I don't know what they are. I suppose I should catalog them like this shouldn't I? Probably BEFORE the rock and mineral show (where I'll go on another buying spree) in a couple weeks. Oh boy that'll be a project. xd

What do you typically use Amethyst for? I included it in my "healing mojo bag" that I carry with me for reassurance that every day I heal a little more.

Typically for drawing out and casting away negative emotions, to turn over a new leaf and anything concerning learning, knowledge and wisdom.

*giggles* I know the feeling, that's just my identified list I've got a load I still haven't identified or I've forgotten what they were. Yea cataloging them is always a good thing the hard part is remembering what each one looks like, unless you catalogue them with photographs.

I have a buddy that sells them. He went off to Oregon and became a complete hippie though. I haven't seen him in a couple of years and have no idea what he's doing now, but last time I did see him he was sitting on a blanket at a maypole celebration selling rocks. He had a couple hundred or so with him at the time.

There is an "Irish" Gem and crystal store down town that I pass most days when I go into the city. There is a nice collection there for a small store in an urban environment. I got my quartz tip for my wand at an actual quarry near a camp when I was younger. I lost a lot of them, but oh well. I still have two small pieces that I use. My mother has a huge on on her altar.

I have some of my things labeled because they came that way when I baught them at various rock and mineral shows. Good thing too. Then there's the tricky thing of many of them having different growth habits. I've got pyrite cubes, pyrite suns, and a few other odd assortments. Luckily that one is fairly easy to ID as not many minerals have that pale gold metallic luster. But still. I'm soooo excited to go to the rock and mineral show in another week. I actually have a list of things to look for this time.

.... I think it's about a hundred items long. xd

Either from a pair of druids that travell the UK selling them or from my friend who digs them up for a living. I tend to get the pick of his findings and at reduced prices too biggrin Yay for knowing a geologist.

I don't like it much, I prefer selenite and I haven't found any decent small bits I don't want a stupidly oversized bit lol

Nice. There are a few public quarries in the state, and I'd like to find some of them and visit. Quartz is a power gem for me. I have all kinds of smaller gems and stones, but are so small you can't really see what they are.
