Willow padded along the trail, occosinally lifting her head up to look at a passing bird. The cool mountain air stung in her throat, almost as if she had just taken a drink of cold water. It was clean, and crisp, the squirrels chittering, and birds singing. It was the start of spring, the first spring thaw had happened a few days ago, and now everyone was out and about, enjoying the new weather.
Willow came to the top of the mountain, if you could call it that. It was a pleasent place, one of her favorites. There was a stream that gurgled along down the mountain, Willow had found out that this was the place where it began. It was wonderful to swim in, and with the thaw a new break of warmth that made the stream a pleasure to take a dip in now. The top of the mountain was a huge plain, which held the stream, a small meadow filled with flowers, and an abandoned quarry. Willow had never liked the quarry, the rocks tended to fall often, and tales were told of a young ulaya who had strayed to near, and had been killed by a falling rock.

 Chiku stopped for a moment to take in the crisp clean air and exhaled deeply. sniffing around looking for his twin brother Chiku stopped noticing a brown Ulaya in the field of flower near a rocky path he crept foward taking a closer glance and finally speaking out he said "hello".

Willow jumped a bit as she heard the strange voice behind her. She whirled around, to see that it was another Ulaya. She flicked her ears back and forth, eyeing the stranger. She looked him over with a critical eye. He seemed friendly enough, not at all dangereous. The pattern on his pelt intrigued her. He reminded her of another Ulaya she had seen...one of those 'cat' breed things. It was rather attractive, she grugingly admited to herself.
She flicked her tail a bit and replied, "Hello to you as well, I must say, you gave me a bit of a scare." She grinned a little, and curled her fluff of a tail around her paws, eyeing the stranger curiously. She had never really seen another Ulaya this far up the mountain before, most were scared away by what had happened to that other Ulaya who had been killed in the quarry. He must not live around here... She thought to herself.

Chiku smiled happily" well it was worth coming here to see you smile, I am kinda new to this area and was attracted by the nice smelling flowers, but I didn't expect to see something as pretty as you," turning his head slightly to avoid eye contact. looking back he says" I am looking for my twin brother, but he can wait, he likes trees more anyway."

Willow felt her cheeks burn, but quickly supressed the feeling. She was a little emberrased, no one had ever told her outright something like that, though it made her feel warm inside. She shook her head, trying not to let it swirl into thoughts that probably would not happen. She grinned, hiding the feeling that had swelled up, and retorted with a laugh, "Well since I have been up here many a time, I did not expect to see a handsome traveler such as yourself." She grinned again, enjoying the bout of flirting.
She asked, "You have a twin? That is something I have heard of, but never actually believed." She quelled the curiosity, a twin was indeed intriging, she wanted to know more about this strange Ulaya who seemed to be so well versed in complementing.

Chiku perked up at her interest and decided to tell her about Mel, "Well my brother's name is Mel and he has darker stripes than me, we have same blue eyes, He likes to think he takes charge and I want him to believe it, or he becomes lazy and boring. He is a bit of a show off. If you know a little about his habits you would think he is crazy but he calculates almost everything. He has a drive to do something he will do it, usually with me. When we work togther we can move mountains(eyes sparkling with pride).... well not mountains but we did move a huge rock once." smiling back at her, "My name is Chiku by the way." extending his paw to her.

Willow was a little stunned by this sudden rush of words. She had never spoke much, usually prefering to just sit and watch for hours on end. She cocked her head, and contemplated the information that had just been spilled out at her. She nodded at Chiku, then stuck out her own paw, and said, "Chiku hm? Very well, I'm Willow." She grinned, and eyes sparkling with mischief added, "And your brother Mel sounds like quite the character."

Chiku" yeah, him and me are quite the odd pair," suddenly going silent," I don't really like to talk much, it much easier to do something..." looking around he noticed a bush with berries," hey have you ever painted before?"

Willow cocked her head with interest. This was quite an interesting male, most of the others she had met were either disinterested in her and didn't want to talk to a carefree female, or were too enamored by her appearance that they couldn't make for an intelegent conversation. Perhapes she would stay here for a little longer with this Chiku.
She shook her head no, and asked curiously, "What is painting?" The word rolled of her tongue nicely, like a stream over a rock. She liked it.

Chiku smiled liking this girl even more
"I love painting" while moving to a rock and started to trace an outline of a bird flying using purple mush as paint." see, here I place these 2 acorns her for eyes and you got a birdy," pawing the paint off the on the grass around him, "Messy though."

Willow tilted her head a little, painting seemed fun. Yes, it seemed messy, but who cared about messy. She walked over to the rock, dabbed her paw into the purple mush, and started to paint a squirrel. Then, like Chiku, she took two acorns for eyes, but then a second thought, took another and put it between its paws. She giggled, and said, "He was hungry!"

Chiku laughed and fell back eventually getting up and "I guess what the eyes see the stomach wants," and laughed harder smiling at Willow."but me thinks we should get something to eat, ho about fish?"(hoping to wash himself off and maybe splash willow)

Willow giggled again, and thought for a moment. Fish sounded good, she hadn't had it that often due to her terrible skills at catching them. She nodded swiftly, and said, "Fish sounds delicious right now" She frowned at her stomach as it growled, and added, "And apparently my stomach agrees."

Chiku smiled at her hoping to get her a nice juicy fish."The oils in fish make your fur nice and shiny." stepping closer to a small stream he found a small pool with fish swiming around." grab a branch please and throw it at a fish, It should jump out then I will catch it, and don't worry, I should be the only one getting wet"(for now)

Chiku seeing a fish jump out launched himself and hit the target .grasping out of the water he threw the fish yelling "dinner!' before it landed beside Willow.
