Have you ever wondered what would happen if all the best characters from all the classic literatures came together? What would happen if they jumped from story to story? Well, now's the chance to find out! It all started with a science expiriment gone horribly wrong! All the characters were safe inside their own stories when suddenly, their realities were warped. Now they all have to ban together to get their worlds back to normal. However, with all the best of the literature heros comes the vilians who want the stories to stay warped. Can they be stopped?

Accepted Profiles:

Username: TinyDog
Name: Zephyr
Gender:Male
From: Poe's "The Raven"
Age: Unknown, but looks to be about 20.
Side: Whichever side has the better perks.
Bio: Zephyr enjoys to torment people, but has never really hurt anyone physically. He was in the middle of annoying that one guy who was pining over Lenore when he was pulled somewhere else and giving a human form.

Username: Marcus Core
Name: Cheshire
Gender: male
From: Alice in Wonderland
Age: Unknown but appears about 16
Side: the Side of Fun
Bio: He's a trickster, but doesn't actually wish people harm. He's just 'mad' and loves to have fun and make people laugh. He had been having a particularly glorious evening tormenting the Queen of Hearts during another of her horrible croquet games when he suddenly found himself in a mostly human form in an unfamiliar place. He didn't mind so much. It just meant new people to play with.

Username: Marcus Core
Name: Scheherazade
Gender: Female
From: One Thousand and One Nights (also called simply Arabian Nights)
Age: 23
Side: good
Bio: She had escaped death with her stories, and had thus also saved the lives of any future victims of her husband. Some years had passed and the two were living happily together when she suddenly felt ill and lost consciousness. Upon awaking, she found herself lost and alone in an unfamiliar world.

Username: Tinmaiden
Name: Victor Frankenstein
Gender: Male
From: Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley
Age: around 29
Side: That's highly arbitrary.
Bio: Born in Switzerland and educated in Germany, this guy is highly emotional and batshit crazy. Why are the super-geniuses so often morally warped? Ah, well. He knows a great deal about human anatomy and has somehow unlocked the secret of life. Whether or not he's willing to face the responsibility of said secret's consequences is another matter. He likes to tell long stories, so don't ask him about his origins unless you're planning on writing his highly detailed and woeful biography. Also, keep in mind that he's probably being pursued by the repercussions of playing God, in the form of an oversized, hideous monster with remarkable insight to true human nature. Other than his little morality problem, though, Victor is a deep, sensitive, brilliant individual who is destined to leave the world a more dangerous place.

Username: Tinmaiden
Name: Sherlock Holmes
Gender: Male
From: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
Age: 26
Side: Ultimately good.
Bio: Here, he is a younger man. Coldly logical and deductive, his hard work is often claimed to be that of Scotland Yard's, but that doesn't bother him much as long as he solves his cases. He's a huge fan of complex deductive reasoning followed by abductive reasoning and observation, and his mind is capable of going in a variety of directions to reach a conclusion. Holmes' lifestyle is slightly "bohemian" in nature; he occasionally uses morphine and cocaine when unchecked by Watson, his friend since childhood. He's a violinist who is somewhat disorganized personally and sleeps late. During intense cases, however, he's been known to stay up for nights on end with scarcely any food. He is willing to break the law if the ends justify the means, making him seem amoral, but in such cases he's operating beyond typical ethics.

He's a solitary person, slightly arrogant and more than a bit difficult to decipher. His acting skills and tendency towards ironic humor make it difficult to see what he is really thinking, often. He laughs at superstition, carries a pistol, and has no qualms about striding into dangerous situations if it improves his deductive possibilities.

Username: Komodra
Name: Jack the Ripper
Gender: Male
From: (What story?) come on, we all know Jack
Age: well it wasn't ever really declared so I'm just making him 32
Side: (good or evil?) EVIl
Bio: Jack is a heartless soul. He's not viewed as human by scotland yard or by the prostitutes he murders. HE is the thing of nightmares brought onto the women of London. One night while stalking one of his victims he blacked out and found himself ina strange place

Unfortunantly the corpse are either violent, insane or both. His obseesion with his experiments, along with the horrors he experiences, slowly drove him insane. Before he met his fate in the story, where his experiments carried him away to his doom, Herbert woke up in the present day. ((I'm working on my characters... ^_^() I think this is an awesome idea and have just been a bit busy mixed with lazy today. Between sleeping until the afternoon and then having to make a trip to the art building to put down the next color on my woodcut print... well, yeah. Just kinda haven't gotten the chance to finish the profiles I started last night.))

((So many to choose from...Alanna of Trebond, Gemma Doyle, Maximum Ride, Raven Madison, Nancy Kingston, Kaye Fierch, Zoey Redbird, Cladi from the Cladi Journals by Tanith Lee, Daine Sarrasri, Sabine Rose...I could go on forever and that's just the female characters I would consider.))

((now that is something I hadn't really considered... How strictly are you using the term "Classic Literature" ? I was thinking you meant only older works that have been considered the great masterpieces and such. Is this the case?))
PostPosted: Tue Mar 11, 2008 9:26 pm

((Hm...well, maybe I was confused. I don't really read very many classics...I consider anything by Tamora Pierce a classic but I don't think that anyone else does....That would need some thought, I think.))

*nod* Classics like that is what I had been thinking. I just haven't had a lot of time to put together my profiles yet. I was going to try to have them done by tonight.

((I wouldn't have so much trouble if A: I read classics and B: I could find a female character in the classics that I liked.))

((Well, most of the issue there happens to be the time frame of the "Classic" novel. Both the setting of the stories as well as the era in which they were written. I imagine the authors would be something like this: "Strong female characters? ... Strong... female... Are you feeling right in the head?" Heh... just sayin' ^_^() heh Almost done with mine, though, I swear! XD))
