I noticed that Eirwyn has an entry in the Avatar Arena this week. She has a wonderful "ad" for it in her signature. I always look forward to her entries (and those of her friends like Dr. Whatsit) because they are always original, imaginative, and generally raise the quality of the Avatar Arena.
I've missed voting for a couple of her entries in the past, and I thought that perhaps we could use a "bulletin board" for events we don't want to miss. I'm not sure exactly what those would be other than Avi Arena entries...perhaps petitions to sign.
Sir Oscar, feel free to delete this thread, or place the topic under a more appropriate heading.
In the meantime, join Eirwyn in the rainforests of Indonesia!

smile This is a good idea, Lady Gladys! ninja Do you know...she has not been viewed in over 5 hours now...but her rank is slowly climbing despite this? smile There must be a great deal of downvoting going on elsewhere on other entries! She is rather timid about posting in the forums today as a result.... ninja

I voted! ¡Buena suerte, mi amiga! (which means good luck, my friend... Rhi's Spanish CDs are most informative!) cool

The things I'm learning about the avi arena! eek I never thought of voting for an avi if I couldn't give it a 10 and a positive comment. Hmm...you mean the avis I like would rise in the standings if I didn't "skip without voting" for the ones I am not impressed with?? As a ted of principles, I would vote my honest opinion of each avi, but it would be nice to know that my lower votes for other avis would aid my friends.

Indeed, it does seem to work this way. After all, if you imagine all the entries lined up in order...if one drops to a lower position, another must rise to take its place. This morning, we found her Score was a little lower than yesterday...but her Rank is higher! Therefore, the overall scores in the Arena must be lower this morning. Those dratted downvoting Bots! mad Another hit last night and voted her a "1". Most real folk seem to vote well, at least.

Glad to hear you fared well in the arena this time, Eirwyn! Congratulations! By the way, you have a new addition to your signature. What is s.c.a.s.? Looks like there is a Beta symbol in the background. cool

I think the Volcano God has enormous potential to change not only the face of the landscape but also that of the avi arena! I hope Eirwyn is posting a lot in the forums so that her wonderful signature can earn her the votes she deserves! In reading the comments she's received, I'm especially entertained by the person with the squirt gun! rofl

lol Yes, Ceribri is in the Doctor Who Guild. She is good about supporting Eirwyn in the Arena, and we support her in return. smile There are a terrible lot of bots this week, however. mad

Good luck, Treebeard! I'm glad to see that people are reacting to your visit so positively. You are welcome to rest in the woods hereabouts after your stint in the arena.

Congratulations, Eirwyn! I couldn't believe my eyes when I went to the arena and checked the winners! Third Place rofl and may I say, one of only two entries that I thought deserved recognition. (I was strangely drawn to the avi holding her own head.)

Eirwyn is amused by the #1 winner. This was a follow-up to an earlier entry by this Gaian, using the same British explorer type character finding the Dionaesil in the jungles and becoming fascinated with it. In this one, it has become a naked prince who wishes to kiss him, much to his dismay! lol Yesterday he had created yet another installment in this tale showing how the explorer retaliated, though I do not think it is in the Arena. Hopefully he is still wearing it.
