I'm surprised Vanishing Lullabye didn't get to this one first. Haha. But I figured I might as well name drop here. I am completely enthralled with J. R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I highly reccomend it to anyone who likes paranormal romance. It's got a fantastic ongoing storyline and the individual books are all great reads. heart

I've got several authors I should put on here but I kept forgetting redface
J.R. Ward is a very good author. The series is about "brothers" that happen to be vampires fighting lessers (slayers). That's only in a little bit of each book though. Each book focuses mainly on one of the brothers, he will find his mate and you watch their struggle since most of the time relationships go that way. The book doesn't solely focus on that couple though, it does have quite a bit of pages towards the other characters. So you get to see each character expand not just the one the book is based on.
Anyway yall should probably use amazon to read up about it more since I just woke up and probably babbled tons.

I haven't read any of these, because they didn't seem very interesting... but you guys may just get me onto another series. Are there slow parts at the beginning or does it just launch into the story??

It pretty much just launches into the story. The first book starts out with one of the vampires asking the King to watch over his daughter because she might be going through the change soon. There are of course some slow parts in some of the books but it picks up fairly quickly.

Wrath's story is good. Rhage's is good. Zsadst's is... actually rather painful but a good read. Never been able to bring myself to read Butch's story. And Vishous's is good--especially if you like a lot of angst and some mild kink.
Personally though I'm wondering what she's going to do after book six. She's been building up the kid's plotline so I'll bet he gets book 7... but then she's kind of out of characters isn't she? That'll suck.
