I really like Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Mysteries series it's about a woman named Sookie Stackhouse. Sookie is a telepath (she can read people's minds) and she works as a barmaid. The book has mainly vampires and shifters in it but there are a few other supernatural kinds of things in it. Over all the series is entertaining there is some humor tossed into it and it's not too sexual but there are some sex scenes.

The first book in the series is Dead Until Dark.

I love those books, I over heard my teacher tell my librarian something about a vampire Elvis and I run up and asked what book are the talking about because I thought a vampire Elvis was awesome. So he lent me the books and I loved them. But after the first few pages I thought that the plot sounded a little familiar and realized that I have seen a movie that was based of the book lol. After I read the first few books I ran to the book store to get the next one and where the next one should of been there was the first Kim Harrison book. I was a little confuse at first,
Harris/Harrison. but I ended up geting Kim's book and haven't read any more of Harris's since then, I realy should though, I want to know what happens with Sookie, I love her!

Almost all of the authors that I'm currently crazy over happened by mistake. The same kind of thing that you did... I picked up their books by mistake while looking for a different author haha.

But yeah, "Bubba" is a pretty cool character. I laughed when they brought him into the series in the first book.

Do you happen to remember the name of the movie? I didn't realize that there was one out that was based on the books O.O

They're going to be releasing a TV series based on these books sometime in the Fall I believe.
