Deidara is a easily annoyed, fun-loving, art fanatic. He uses his so-called art bombs to reek destruction. At one time, Deidara was a serial bomber, before he became an Akatsuki. His art of making weird creature-like bombs with his clay-eating hands makes him very unusual. He makes said bombs with the mouths on his hands out of clay his has in a bag. Deidara is introduced with his partner Sasori on their mission to take Gaara. Deidara and Gaara have a fight, leaving Deidara one arm short and Gaara his captive of sorts. Deidara and Sasori then go back to the base where they seal they demon. Later, Naruto and the group, all come barging in to see him sitting on Gaara. Deidara sees how much Naruto cares for Gaara, and make a bird to carry him and Gaara on. After Deidara's bird is shot down, he looses his other arm. Shortly after, he meets his new partner Tobi, whom had found his arm. After Kakuzu reattaches his arms, he and Tobi are seen going after another demon host. After bring in the host, he and Tobi have some time to mess around. Deidara proposes that he and Tobi go after Sasuke, eliminating a potential problem, if Itachi didn't mind Itachi didn't say anything, so Deidara went to is final battle. Sasuke vs. Deidara was a interesting battle, Deidara used all sorts of bombs. In the end, he had to use, self-destruct because he wanted to kill Sasuke so badly. The only reason he disliked Sasuke was because he was 'the same' as his brother in not appreciating his art. In the end, Deidara dies.
