Yeah so ever since I was 18 years old, my teeth declined in 'health.' I never had any problems, any cavities or anything until I turned 18 and got a tongue ring. Now, 22 years old going on 23, I've had more cavities and fillings than I know what to do with, and I went in for an appointment this morning... and come to find out everything's worsening. Regretfully, I twisted off the bottom of my tongue ring, and threw it aside. I've got to get a better dental hygiene program. Flossing more. Rinsing my mouth out with Act more. BRUSHING more. Sadly, from the outside view, my teeth look flawless -- fine 'n' dandy. Ho ho ho. Not really. -_-; I know it's stupid, but yeah, going to the dentist really bummed me out this morning and made me FEEL DOWN. Because now I don't have my tongue ring in anymore, and that was like... a part of me. Like an arm. Or something. I feel naked. :'( Anyone want to console me? :3

i know what u mean i just went to the dentist 3 days ago...gum infection
so they did a root canal on 1 but they didint finish
so i got to go back friday

I hate my teeth. I've been having pain with them since the day I was born. I used to have to put in an expander so every day I would take it out, adjust it (bigger which hurt) and put it back in. For years. Then spacers. And I had four teeth pulled. And braces for years and years and years. I've had sooooo much pain from my freaking teeth. Not to mention after I got my braces removed I had a "permanent" retainer on my lower jaw. A few days later I ate something and it came out and got jammed into the top of my mouth. ><
I wish you so much luck with your teeth! Could you maybe use a plastic piercing? I don't know about mouth piercings except that I will not be getting one. I'll stick to my ears. Any tips on self piercing? I don't trust Claire's and cartledge anymore.

gonk I wish I had better teeth myself. I have to go to the Dentist next week for a cavity fill and I HATE THEM metal on my teeth is my biggest pet peeve!
So I'd like to know, without your tongue ring your mouth is going to get better? xd

Teeth. Bleh.
I was addicted to a pacifier for YEARS. I mean, it was ridiculous, even after my permanent teeth started coming in (say 5 years old? Yes, it's terrible) and this has caused my teeth to grow in protruded. It could be fixed easily with braces, I have a major fear of dentists. Growing up, my parents only took me to the dentist twice. (and also because when they took xrays of my jaw, it was growing in misaligned and they said I'd need it medically broken and realigned, which happened when I was 1 cool
I have this major fear, so I brush my teeth religiously, I've never had a cavity, I pushed on my teeth and the gap is basically nothing now, I have all my teeth, lol. I think they're okay but it's just teeth in general that I don't like >_<

Bah! Humbug! This dental hygiene crap is just a money-making shenannigan! People did just fine before the invention of toothbrushes, and teeth still do their job regardless of colour or cavities. In my opinion, screw it all, suck back some Tic-Tacs, and you'll be just fine.

I got braces back on my teeth today. I hate it as much as I hated braces before. A year ago, I passed out and landed face-first on the floor. I woke up with my chin busted open and in a pool of blood and teeth. My jaw was broken in three places. I had it wired shut for six weeks. Broke it again in January eating popcorn and biting hard on a popcorn seed and went through the wiring process again. In June, the broken teeth were fixed, and I finally got braces back on them to straighten them again. I feel 14 again with braces (and I spent five years in braces before.)

I myself have never been that great with my teeth. I've had a root canal and a crown and my dentist says I need another crown. I'm alright at brushing, but I could never honestly get in the habit of flossing, I don't know I just haven't been able to keep at it myself. I have had so many cavities most of my teeth have fillings. I'm pretty sure I'll need major work done by the time I'm 40.
I myself will never get my tongue or lips pierced. I am riddled with canker sores (not cold sores) a lot and I'm sure that they would get worse with a piercing. The only thing I can think of is it was pierced wrong, the wrong type of metal or your mouth just wasn't that freindly with them.
So seeing as how you posted this 5 years ago, what all has happened in regards to that stuff since. Have you found yourself a remedy and gotten a piercing again or your stiff pierce free inside your mouth?
