I've been writing a Gorillaz fanfic.
Unfortunately, I've been hit with a massive writer's block that's lasted too long for my liking.
So, any suggestions or the like to try and kick-start my brain back into gear?
...
Pwease?

For those of you who haven't read it (which I'm assuming is pretty much all, if not most, of you), here is a link. It's called Young Again.
And, just in case you feel like it, here's a oneshot I wrote (I posted this one in my journal). It's called The Movie that Never Was.

Um, this probably won't help you with your writers' block, but I found it really hard to read their accents. You need to cut down there, lass. You made a commendable effort, but accents are rarely handled well, especially the heavy British ones. For example:

2D: cockney accent with soft 'r's, often adds long pauses, uses 'yeah', 'eh', 'you know', 'and stuff' and 'like' a lot
"So I woz walkin' down stairs, finkin' of nuffink in particular, when all of a sudden, like, a fish comes flyin frwom nowhere! Nearwly knocked me rwight out, an stuff, an, ahhhh... an yeah. You know. That's wot happened."

Noodle: Japanese accent. This has to be handled carefully. I know some Japanese, so I'm prepared to help you here. When you finish a word with a vocalised constanant, you put on a 'u' (as the Japanese pronounce this softly or not at all). You should use it only in conjunction with a 'hard' sound, such as 't' and 'k', and not for common words such as 'and', as that gets too confusing for the reader.
Although Noodle is quite advanced in her English, remember that she'll speak unneccesarily formally, and mix up her plurals and singular terms (as Japanese does not contain them).
"I was taking to 2D the other day, and he said that he had been hittu by much fish, of all things! I was so surprised by such very funny news that I started to laugh, right there! I am very very sorry, 2D, but you are so silly, sometimzu!"

Murdoc: perhaps you're trying to make him sound drunk, but generally it's a bad idea to take off the end of words. The mind reads a word as a whole, you see, so it makes it very slow to read. I can really only say this by example, but he also uses 'eh', 'mmm', 'y'know', 'oh yeah' and general groaning, grunts and horrid sounds a lot, as well as rolling his 'r's.
"So I was talkin' to Noodle the other day - ain't she a dear, ain't she, though sometimes a little bit of a bore - an she was tellin' me that our idiot singer, that stupid faceache, had been hit by a fish! Strrraight into his face, no less, was left with bloody great scale prints on his face half the day! I nearly pissed meself laughing, I tell ya! And now, by Satan, he's convinced they're out to get him! Steerin' clear of fish ponds and stuff, it's hilarious!"

See, personally, I can't read some of these sentances, like "Li'e 'ewl, if I've anythin' to say 'bou' tha'!" I can't understand the first two words at all. Just... keep it in mind. Accents are awesome when pulled off right, otherwise they're awful to read.

And, uh. Yeah. Got a bit carried away there. Just some general advice for anyone writing accents, I suppose. Russel is fine. ^.^

i'm telling you it's not a trick
pay attention, don't be thick
or you're liable to get licked

Writers block sucks.
Just read a bunch of you favorite fanfics, it should help you get a handle on what to write next.
Me, I'm at the same place as you. I haven't updated mine two years, though.

you're gonna see the reason why
when they're spitting in your eye
they'll be spitting in your eye
