Does anybody remember The Chronicles of Narnia. I always loved them when I was younger. I tried reading the first book in about second grade, but I got really bored with it. Then in about fourth grade I went through a phase where I read all of them really fast. I loved The Last Battle, I thought the ending was so poetic. The old movies based off of them were HORRIBLE, the acting was just bad and there were cartoons along with real-life actors. But the recent remake of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe sticked suprisingly close to the book. I actually liked it qutie a bit. They're making one of Prince Caspian, it's coming out soon.....

I've only read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, lul. I tried reading The Magician's Nephew back in sixth grade, but got a little bored with it. We had to read TLTWATW for that same grade and I thought it was a pretty cool book, but I didn't bother trying to reread Magician's Nephew. I can try again over the summer, maybe, though.

The Magician's Nephew is really hard to get into. I think it's easier to read once you've read at least one of his other books, because then you have a sense of what his style is like. It's definitely not one of his best books.... But it is good.

I must say I enjoy The Magician's Nephew, but I enjoy all of them and love the recent movie, and can't wait for the rest of the movies (Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and most likely the Silver Chair), I wish though someone would make movies of the rest of the books.

Probably because they want to stick to the same characters. The Magician's Nephew, The Horse and his Boy, and The Last Battle have very different characters. Well, okay, The Last Battle not so much, but they would have to make all of the other movies to be able to make it because it's a culmination of everything. And the movies listed were the same as the ones they made before. These would all technically be remakes.

I love the Chronicals of Narnia!!!!! It's where my real name came from so it's kind of hard not to like it. I haven't re-read them in a really long time though. I'm sure I will before Prince Caspian comes out though. I'm one of those people that like to compare the movie with the book.

My Mom introduced my siblings and I to the Chronicles when I was 7 or 8, and I've been addicted ever since. I've gotten so much more out of them with each reading, as I've gotten older. They'll never grow old. While I appreciate the BBC movies because of their accuracy, they really didn't do the books justice (especially because of the *twitch* cartoon animals and *twitch* puppet Aslan). I loved the new LWW and hope Prince Caspian doesn't seriously screw things up. 3nodding

I've only read the Magician's Nephew, The Lion, The Witch And the Wardrobe, and a good portion of A Horse and His Boy, but I still hate what is happening to the whole franchise with the horrendous movies and all. scream scream

No, it's in like two weeks. At least, it is in the USA, I don't know about anywhere else. Wait, I'll look it up for an exact date.... Yeah, it comes out May 16th.

Ooh! Ooh! (no monkeys in class, please!) My friend and I are going to see Prince Caspian together right as it's coming out! Ooh! I was wondering! Did they really get the same four kids to be in Prince Caspian as The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe?
As for the books: I loved them! I didn't have trouble getting into a single one of them! Granted, The Last Battle confused me... (I was only seven!)

Oops.... I had a feeling I was off a little but not by that much....
Anyway, I think it's the same kids but, as you can tell, I'm not much of an authority on the subject...

I loved the books, and the movie was visually stunning. I can't wait to watch the next one. My only hope is that the characters come off a bit less whiny? I think I remember only Susan being the grown-upish whiny character in the books, and it sort of bugged me during the movie with all the talk of "oh we can't help you because we've got to get home" and stuff. In the books the characters seemed more inclined to help out since they felt it was sort of their responsibility to do something since Mr. Tumnus had been arrested on account of their sister. I'm also trying to avoid being annoyed by the actor who is playing Prince Caspian and doesn't look like anything like what I imagined, but you know he's STILL nice to look at hehehe.
