constantly. people (especially the trombone section) keep telling my flute section that we're ;
1) too emotional. well...i might have to agree on this. lol
2) our playing have too much emotion
1st trombonist quoted "you guys like, lose contact with the world when you touch your flute" partially true. tho my 2nd flutist has no emotion. at all. he spilled
coffee over his flute and not scream like a girl over it. (he should of have.)
3) we sneer over the sight of better sections. um. no comment.
4) we're too shiny. HECK YEAH! thats what we do/are. lols

some people have things against flutes, like my band director. hahaha. obviously we just have skills and they don't(srry to all offended).

The moodiness is funny with us. (too much estrogen sometimes)
Anytime a flute just gets hit against a stand we all cringe.
Ummmm, we are just plain crazy.
Mmmm that about sums up my section.

12madalyn95 i'm gonna reply to all of them biggrin 1) well maybe they're just not emotional enough 2) well... IDK! 3) also no comment 4) flutes r very shiny biggrin duh silly! so yea... I took that fai quiz once, I'm a pixie too! -Anyways, I'm not emotional that much. The most stupidest reason I have ever cried over was my mom not letting me get a ferret. -I don't get emotional when I play. Some other flutes in my section move their backs in some weird way for some reason, I think it's cause they get emotional as they play. -I could care less if another section is better cause sometimes in class the flutes do good or the clarinets or trombones or whatever... -Shiny! I like the word shiny! whee

I wish at least half of my section cared enough to get emotional when they play. : / And yes, some of the players are WAY too emotional and bitchy and whiny.

I cant name anybody in my band who actually cares about music.
There is only me and one other girl I know of who care about our instruments and how well we play everybody else just slack off.
As band directors go, they are usually wrong, and most of the time you shouldn't listen to what they say.

The sad thing is, I'm the only flute in our band. My friend plays piccolo sometimes, but she normally doesn't play at all, she just sits around during that class.

that about sums up my section. of course we are emotional because we totally rock them. they envy our superior shininess to them. they're just jelous because flutes rock, and they don't. plus trombones arn't silver like us. doesn't that just burst his bubble

I kinda move when I play, I don't even mean to, but my friends who've watched me play say that I move with the dynamics and such and really get into it, but I really don't mean to... sweatdrop Weirdest part, though, is that I keep my flute straight the whole time........ rolleyes redface
