I haven't a clue what the friend code is on the wii (as the wii belongs to my bro) but I do have brawl and it feels like its going to take a little getting use to. Marth just doesn't move as smoothly as he did in the last game but my god I am loving Metaknight, Kirby and Pit.

Edit: Marth is still my classic favorite. Seems like Pit and Marth are my two prime characters right now, followed up by Diddy Kong and Samus, with Kirby and Metaknight thereafter.

I got it yesterday. So awesome. I still use my old favorites, but my new favorites have to be Ike, Pit, Pokemon Trainer, and Diddy Kong. But unfortunately, I only have internet when I visit my dad's or m friends'. Do I need extra equipment to use it? Can I only use it in one spot? Do I need wifi? I want to figure this thing out so that I can quickly set it up whenever I change places...

Has anyone else fought Rayquaza yet? Or Tabuu? Those guys are insane on the Very Hard difficulty. ^__^

dude Raquaza in a ***** to kill. it has so much hp. Im all pissed because none of my friends belived me that I beat the great maze, and tabuu without getting a gameover But I wasnt on Very Hard XD I was on normal. oh, by the way, my friend code is 3652-0209-4307. My mains are Lucas (Purple shirt) and Kirby(Chalk colored, if were going by the color from other games). and my subs are Pikachu(goggles) and ocassionally dark-pit and white Marth.

Well I admit I lost at least 4-5 times to Tabuu on Very Hard, but I definitely didn't expect that instant death pulse attack he does. Took me awhile to figure out I had to sidestep at just the right time just to get past it.

I picked up my Brawl today. I seriously think that Melee is much better than Brawl. I doubt Brawl will get a successor, if it does then I guess the majority enjoyed it more than I did.

Brawl is pretty fun, though from what I can gauge with all the people i've talk to, there has been alot of tampering with older characters and in mainly displeasing ways. Alot of old players are forced to relearn their characters and in that, it seems to turn off alot of old players. I peronally, picked up completely new characters in brawl then what I used in Melee. Just the way things are I guess.

Yeah I can completely agree with that. I tried using my former player Samus, and I noticed she was nerfed a lot. Bomb jump isn't possible anymore, and I can't even grapple the wall anymore. The missiles are launched too slowly so I can't turret fight. What I really dislike is the fact that Sakurai removed the wave dash glitch. So many "pro" players are probably mad about this as well.

I'm sure you already know that i'm glad that wavedashing is gone ( razz ), but if your looking for a new edge in brawl, there is something called c-sticking/wave-bouncing(?), which unlike wave dashing, its mainly used as a defensive type of glitch (and im not even sure why its called "wave" anything) which is downright deadly when combined with Marth's altered Dancing blade attack. Also with it, i've seen Bowser be able to infinitely bounce around in the air. As far as I know, I believe it only works when using the GC controller. If your interested, i'm sure there are a few videos on youtube about it.

C-sticking? doesn't that just pull off directional smashes?

That's what the normal C-Stick does yes. But what you do is change the C-Stick from Smash to Special, and what it does is when a certain move is executed, it bounces you back after executing a special attack. I suppose you'd have to see it to fully understand it.

Actually, I think that:

*Raquaza is very predictable and easily beaten with characters with energy-absorbing or -reflecting moves

*It's normal that it's awkward. Remember how weird it was to use the gamecube controller for Melee instead of the N64?

*The new moves make the game and stradegies more interesting. I mean, I catch myself hardly ever using throws when it used to make up about one-eighth of what I did in Melee.

*The characters seem a lot more leveled out that before.

I suppose you could say leveled out, but I am not really liking that. Why? because most of my players were nerfed. Samus lost all of her advantages. Bomb Jumping, bomb jumping off projectiles. Grappling onto anywhere, and not on the ledge. Marth was nerfed. His air combos aren't as good anymore. Air Neutral can't really respond as fast as the short hop is, meaning I will end up missing. Fox lost his SHL and SHFL, and his shine was also nerfed. What really bothers me is the removal of L-cancel and Wavedash. I can no longer show my skills as I could back then with my Samus and Marth. I now use Ike, but Brawl never feels the same. I just wish Marth still had his tipper and range sad
