To fade away from 'neath the sky, to walk the land where falcons fly. To disappear to parts unknown, to tread the path to my King's home.
I slipped away from 'neath the sun, I took my rest; my wandering's done. I came home, my thirst I slake, and left naught but stories in my wake.
I've tread through twilight, and through rain, I've walked through shadow, death and pain. I've endured, and I have fought countless wars, and regretted naught.
But what's happened has happened, what's done is done, I've passed through anger, sorrow, and fun. But I've one question, and I ask: Would you follow in my path?
Will you fade from 'neath the sky? Will you walk where falcons fly? Will you leave to parts unknown, and tread the path to our King's home?

One of two. Written a long time ago, this happens to be my first true poem, and it is also my favorite. Later on, I decided to write a companion to it, but this has always been special to me. It will not change, no matter how many flaws it may have, so it is useless to critique it. If you flame it, I will have my 'alter-ego', Razor, tear your eyes, throat, and liver out ask you to leave. I hope I don't have to tell you what will happen if you steal any piece of it. Thank you, my friends. ^^

Dude, that is very good. Poetry can be hard, but from your other poem and this one, I can see that you have learned to wield it properly. You've managed to sort of take a small story and turn it into a good poem that manges to tell you what happened, without being too direct about it. Nice job.

This was excellent. I'm sorry if that isn't exactly "advanced critique", but I really suck with words. All the same, nice piece of work.

Thank you, my friends. I apreciate your compliments greatly. I'll post the companion sometime, if you're interested in seeing it. ^^
