Its sad, yes, but thats why little kids shouldn't stick their noses where they don't belong. Its not the animes fault. Many shows are far more inappropriate for young children. The rating does say 13+. Although the time slot could have been set later. Shows are rated for a reason, all I can say is young children who don't know the difference between reality and fiction need to be more closely monitored. I don't say this to be in sensitive but, his death could have probably been prevented.
