Which is better in terms of art being the element of storytelling: the original Tezuka Osamu style or the OVA style?

i like his story lines in his manga i wish i can find some here in canada ..... but wen ever i look thy make sarcastic remarks ...... man i hate those guys thy have no taste in his works

I've gotta say the original Tezuka is always the best.
But I haven't been able to find much original Black Jack around my area. In fact, anything Tezuka outside of Astro Boy is pretty rare over here, for that matter. -_- *sigh* So I can't really provide much argument.

You have to take in to account that they based all the story Lines off of the original stuff that Tezuka wrote. So it's basically all the same. How I think it's all good (sorry for being so middle of the road).
I must say though that using Janne Da Arc for the opening scores some serious points in my book...

Well...i like them both in different ways
As for the artwork ....
Manga BJ (and or TV) bj is cuter but ova BJ is well sexier lol
As so for the story I only read the 2 manga translated by Viz
but the ones i seen that seen so far that been made int tv episodes i liked the manga version better more of a moral to them
as for the ova i have yet to see the manga story's if there are any that there based so i cant rely compare them in terms of storylines

I say the OVA is better, if you're referring to the 4 miracles of life. The animation is cleaner than the original, plus, it's funnier.
I havent actually watched the original series but i've seen screenies and previews of it. But considering the animation styles and the technology back then, i dont really let it affect me.
The music is superb. I've seen other doctor shows and they usually use s l o w - p a c e d songs for the theme. Using rock songs for Black Jack makes it different and cool, because Black Jack IS different and cool.
I say the 4 miracles of life is better. biggrin
