No I don't like them besides the fact that, that style is USED I really don't like the content of your pictures. I mean who is going to hang on their wall a picture of a depressed looking girl, and what magazine is going to use that.

I do like how you left it black and white but painted the eyes. I think with a little more effort and little more imagination into the content that could create some pretty foxy photography.

I also suggest for your black and white photography you look for toturials on how to make the image look more contrasted and smarter. (I did one the other day somewhere on the net, but I don't remember where it was. So just go search and I'm sure you'll find a few differen't ways to do it. > Do you have Adobe Photoshop?

tell me which one is depressed, and why is my style used, I've never seen someone else with these kind of pictures, show me one, yes I've made an unorigional eyeshot....it was the second photo I ever took, so you can't say it's worse. But really thanks for the critiques, show me some of your work too, I would love to see it

Ok I guess "depressed" isn't the right word. I used that for lack of a better term. It's just that it doesn't look real. When you take a portrait of someone it should tell a story. In these pictures you look like you're posing for the camera 'trying' to take a unique picture and it really defeats the purpose. IMO

I have seen this style and it's all over DA. I don't want to go search some out but it most definately is used.

Ok here's some of my photography it's not very good. When I gave you the critic before I hope I didn't imply that my photography is much better wink

Ok since you were doing self portraits it's only fair that I show some of mine. However please don't compare them because I realize they're nothing special. I like the second one better.

Really thanks for the critques, what I see in your picture, especially in you selfportraits is that you used the macro button which looks strange because your nose looks bigger, and there is no pose at all (I do conceptual photography) and you didn't make photo's with the view like how should the light be, further I think the girl is cute, but it sure doesn't tell a story, she is brushing her teeth, not more, again there is no use of wonderful lightning or something that makes it interesting to look at, I don't say this because you gave me critiques but because I think it's fair to give you critiques back on your selfportraits which I like, but I don't want to see a teethbrushing on my wall unless I start an dentistclinique :p I would really like to se your DA gallery to comment and fav something so show me smile

Ok,erm macrobutton means that (or a macrolens) you can use it to make small things sharp and let them look big, like a close up of a be, or an eye
and about the boy razz I saw it later that it was a boy but he had a pink toothbrush wink
go to seathrill.deviantart.com if you want to see more not unique photography

That first shot is fantastic, really gorgeous.

I'd say reshoot it though and get it perfect, for such a formalist style. Centre the two heads, and I'm sure you have the black frame there for some display reason, but I don't think it's the best for the photo by itself (I know this is only a casual display, but that's my comment on the photo you've given).
I'll just say that shot strikes me for the simplicity, the lighting, and formal values. I love art/conceptual photography.
I feel like the colour though, the eyes and the hooded girl, you are aiming for/influenced by a more commercial formalist style... That's cool too.

Bubblegum shot is lovely!

You must be a big Man Ray fan smile Me too.

Keep making.
