No I don't like them besides the fact that, that style is USED I really don't like the content of your pictures. I mean who is going to hang on their wall a picture of a depressed looking girl, and what magazine is going to use that.
I do like how you left it black and white but painted the eyes. I think with a little more effort and little more imagination into the content that could create some pretty foxy photography.
I also suggest for your black and white photography you look for toturials on how to make the image look more contrasted and smarter. (I did one the other day somewhere on the net, but I don't remember where it was. So just go search and I'm sure you'll find a few differen't ways to do it. > Do you have Adobe Photoshop?

But really thanks for the critiques, show me some of your work too, I would love to see it heart

Seathrill tell me which one is depressed, and why is my style used, I've never seen someone else with these kind of pictures, show me one, yes I've made an unorigional eyeshot....it was the second photo I ever took, so you can't say it's worse. But really thanks for the critiques, show me some of your work too, I would love to see it heart Ok I guess "depressed" isn't the right word. I used that for lack of a better term. It's just that it doesn't look real. When you take a portrait of someone it should tell a story. In these pictures you look like you're posing for the camera 'trying' to take a unique picture and it really defeats the purpose. IMO I have seen this style and it's all over DA. I don't want to go search some out but it most definately is used. Ok here's some of my photography it's not very good. When I gave you the critic before I hope I didn't imply that my photography is much better wink 12Ok since you were doing self portraits it's only fair that I show some of mine. However please don't compare them because I realize they're nothing special. I like the second one better. 12

That first shot is fantastic, really gorgeous.
I'd say reshoot it though and get it perfect, for such a formalist style. Centre the two heads, and I'm sure you have the black frame there for some display reason, but I don't think it's the best for the photo by itself (I know this is only a casual display, but that's my comment on the photo you've given). I'll just say that shot strikes me for the simplicity, the lighting, and formal values. I love art/conceptual photography. I feel like the colour though, the eyes and the hooded girl, you are aiming for/influenced by a more commercial formalist style... That's cool too.
Bubblegum shot is lovely!
You must be a big Man Ray fan smile Me too.
Keep making.
