I asked this question in the Modder's thread and got no reply, so I'm asking again here.
quite a few months ago, I downloaded a bunch of mods for Oblivion. when I tried to play the game...everyone was bald! I posted the question to the PlanetElderScrolls forum and didn't receive any helpful response (and now I've lost the page it was on, even though I'm sure it was bookmarked). now, I finally went through my folders to figure out what happened.
I'm....really not sure how, but...
all of the hairstyles in the Data folder are gone. all, except Argonian, Khajiit, and bald.nif.
I don't think I can get them back by any method other than reinstalling. I would like to know, though...if uninstalling, does it get rid of everything? 'cause I have a bunch of mods and data that I don't want to lose (saves not included, since I know you can keep, and transfer, those).
the other question I have.....could break the Elder Scrolls ToS, but it's simple and I REALLY don't want to spend a couple hours reinstalling every damn thing >< I was wondering if someone could send me their Data/Meshes/characters/Hair folder? .zip or .rar. I'd appreciate it greatly if anyone'd do that. I also doubt Bethesda would be willing to replace the folder for me, since I downloaded the mod 'at my own risk.' and especially since they STILL haven't gotten back to me about my Morrowind problem... bah
follow-up question: does anyone know how that happened, and if it's happened to anyone before? I seriously doubt the Septim Mansion mod deleted my hair... (note: since I use Ren's Beauty Pack, my character still has all his hair)

I'd say re-installing Oblivion is the only option... At least, the only fully legal one, but, maybe we shouldn't be talking about that, they're always watching ... I think I've been playing to much Shivering Isles...

Apparently one of the mods was a cruel joke. Whoever made it is a jerk. Hopefully they've gotten in trouble already.
