Pirates! The South Sea is being overrun with them! The continent of Serria is at it's wits end trying to figure out how to stop these mad men and women from getting away. The magicians who, within their own guild, have tried to stay out of this, are getting to the point where they will choose a side to fight for soon. And even the elves, seclusive and isolated from humans, are up in arms against the pirates. But what exactly are the pirates searching for? Why have they become so powerful? Set sail to find the answers!

Races:
Humans: Normal humans of the world, plagued by the pirates. Either that or they join them. But humans are such fickle things, they tend to have a hard time choosing unless it's in their blood.
Magicians: Humans who have special powers. Within their guild rests the knowledge of the world and it's languages. They are mostly scholars, though some turn to piracy. In certain parts of the world, the countries that hate magicians sell them off as slaves.
Elves: Seclusive beings who only deal with humans when they have to. Occasionally you'll find one who is kind to humans, but that's very rare. Since they tend to live long, don't get on their bad side because they can hold a grudge and will be extremely patient until the time for revenge is ripe.
Halflings: They creatures are half elf and half human. They are shunned by the elves and taunted by the humans. Since neither side truely accpts them, they turn to piracy to make a living. Though, they seem to get along just fine with most other human pirates.

Username: TinyDog Name: Desirae Age: 22 Gender: Female Preference: Males Race: Halfling Bio: A halfling who was abandoned as a baby. She grew up on the streets in a costal town. One day, she saw a pirate dock into town. She was awed by him and followed him the whole day. When he went into a bar, there was a fight. She saw him take down all the men who had opposed him. He walked out of the bar and stopped in front of her saying,"You'd make a fair spy...Let's go..."After that day, she worked for him as a lookout. To this day, she still doesn't know her captain's true name. Pic:

((whoo! Three people! We start! 3nodding ))
Desirae sighed. The day was bright and sunny, but she sat in the crow's nest, bored out of her mind. The seagulls cried overhead but there was no land in sight yet.

Username: Tinmaiden Name: "Remy" (actual name unknown) Age: late teens or early twenties. Gender: Male Preference: Ambiguous Race: Human...? Bio: Remy is an enigma. Alcander never meant to give up his seafaring life, but finding Remy adrift on a makeshift raft was the first step towards this decision. Remy often seems distant and strange; he fears the ocean, is drawn towards forests, and won't breathe a word of his past to anyone, even Alcander. Traveling alongside the magician, Remy is an odd but not unwelcome presence, and a "good-luck" charm of sorts for his companion. Where he goes, good things happen... until he's injured, frightened, or upset, that is. In that case, weird, scary events tend to take place. Remy appears human... but maybe there's more to this young man than meets the eye. Pic:

Username: jadeshaw88 Name: Ariana Melody Age: 19 Gender: female Preference: She doesn't restrict attraction to one gender or species. Race: Halfling Bio: She was brought up by her mother but when rumors about her real father started to circulate throughout her village, she had no choice but to flee. Seeing no other means of escape, since she was only about ten at the time, she stowed away on a ship and prayed that she would not be found. She was, of course, but the captain took a liking to her and she has been a pirate ever since. She has shown a remarkable affinity for sword play, though she prefers her daggers. Pic:

Sitting upon a tree limb the man called Forsaken was still. His eyes scanned the crowds under his as did his large ears. Many mistook him for a stone replica of the guardians they placed in the trees. He was trained to never move unless provoked or told other wise. As he sat, gargoyle like, upon his limb he grumbled. A bird had landed on his head, "Don't..you..dare..My little friend..fly off.." His voice was as soft as his skin was cold. The small bird tilted its head than left. His eyes followed the small animal, his pale blue eyes longing to follow. They drifted back to the ground, all the loneliness drifted back into his eyes..

"Land Ho!"She cried suddenly. There was a port city comming into view. The others cheered as they got closer. Once they docked, they paid their fee, pretending to be nothing more than merchants. They would sell whatever they didn't need then make off with any treasuer they came across. Though, while there, they got some free time. Desirae went to explore the nearby forest while the others rested in town. Though she was part elf, she had never spent much time in the forests. The elves would kill her if they ever saw her.

Alcander glanced warily at the surrounding trees. "Remy... while the weather has been perfect, and finding that conveniently located and mysteriously abandoned picnic was incredibly lucky, I'm thinking that we should head back towards towns now." he touched his dark-haired companion lightly on the shoulder. "Remy."
Remy glanced at the tall magician. "Oh, towns... I suppose you're right." He scraped his toe reluctantly over an exposed tree root as a cloud passed ominously over the sun.
"Or, we could stay for a bit," Alcander revised, noticing the cloud. "If that would make you happy."
"Why are you so concerned with that?" Remy asked, looking puzzled. "I've been very happy since I've started traveling with you. You act almost like I'm responsible for the good and bad things that happen to you. "
"Well... after I nursed you back from scurvy and fever, I learned that my young and prosperous cousin had somehow been killed and I'd inherited his fortune," Alcander said. "That seems like a pretty good turn of events."
"Coincidence," Remy said flatly, leaning against a tree and closing his eyes.
"I wonder...."

Desirae heard voices close by. She crouched low to the ground and drew her cutlass. MAybe they'd have something valuable. She began to creep forward in the underbrush.

Alcander crouched, taking off his heavy belt and removing his two prized flintlock pistols for cleaning. Not that he'd needed to use them since meeting Remy. He owned three guns, but the third, a pocket pistol, was now in the younger man's possession. Even though Remy had thought the idea was silly, he kept the small pistol tucked safely in a leather pouch strapped to the side of his loose breeches.
"You haven't shot those," Remy observed. "Why are you cleaning them?"
"Habit," answered Alcander, brushing a strand of blond hair aside as he polished the inside of a barrel. "When a seafaring man gets into constructive routines like this one, nothing can hold him back. Whether it needs to be done or not, if he keeps doing something, eventually it will need to be done, and he won't even have to think about doing it. Remy, are you listening?"
"Hm?" Remy asked. "Oh. No, not really. There's someone nearby. I think you should know."
