Elias is the planet where the Crux Via facilities run. Crux Via is a technologically advanced place where many of the most intelligent races combined to create a superior defense against the on-coming threat of the dimensional collapse. Their technology is so advanced that they can actually increase the probability of a random transport into their realm. They have assembled many people, and given them information on what they needed to understand. Though they are well situated, it is still not completely out of harm's way. They have begun to attract some very powerful attention, and more and more evil presences are appearing every day.
Racial Inhabitance
Humans - Needed for their expertise in Biology, and nuclear physics, there are many human scientists in Crux Via. Though they are far from behind the most of the populace.
Desernods - The race which originally inhabited Elias, back whenever it did not have a name. These people are usually 6-7 feet tall, and have tough, bluish white skin, many of their dark blue blood vessels showing through out. Their eyes are usually close together and their appendages usually bare much larger scaled features than a human's. They are very technologically inclined, able to comprehend the basics of bio-engineering at an early stage in life. Though they are very much a passive race, they are also very strong and physically capable. Their physical downfall is that their tough skin and large muscular form makes it very difficult to move very fast at all. Only able to move their legs barely a few feet apart, and joints stiff in their arms and legs. Their voices are often deep, and their speech is much slower compared to humans. Their life spans range from 100-140 human years.
Buforots - An amphibian race, very closely related to the frogs. In fact, the only real difference is that they are able to stand on two feet, and they are usually around 4 feet tall, weighing around 80 pounds. This race originates from Thura, a planet of mostly swamps and lakes. They are highly inclined in marine biology, as well as well as genetics. This race is able to leap anywhere from 30 to 70 feet, depending on the healthiness of the Buforot. Their legs are extremely strong, and are known to even be lethal if struck in a sensitive area.
Important People
Dr. Phan Naz
A Desernod, head of the scientific studies that go on in the Crux Via facilities and Head of Operations for the entire base. Is highly skilled in the fields of Micro-biology, Physics, Rocket Science, but also Quantum Physics. He was able to create the first Nuclear Generated Dimensional Portal to catch one of the travelers that were using the unstable portals appearing around the verse.
Dr. Yvonne Morumech
The head of Biological studies for Crux Via. Was the first human to enter Dr. Naz's staff. Found a way to keep the plants alive from the horrible black grass that was growing around their world. Is now coming up with new weapons to combat the growing threat that is showing up on their doorsteps, able to release killing gases that neutralize the demons that they encounter.
Dr. Roart
One of the three top scientists of the Buforots. Roart is able to hold his breath under water for over three hours, giving him years of experience in Marine Biology.
Technology
D.R.I.T. (Dimensional Rift Interface Terminal)
A rectangular platform machine with a very large bowl in the very middle of it, where the receptors emit the energy to create a Dimensional Portal. Since its creation, it has been upgraded many times to make the transfer more comfortable for the traveler. And recently it has been able to bring more than a few travelers at a time.
Terrain
Though the facilities of Crux Via are almost pristine, it's the outside of Elias that has been deemed uninhabitable. There are vast fields of black, and the sun has been blotted out by the clouds, they never rain, they only thunder and lightning. The trees are dead, and the only moving things moving in those lands are Creeps.
Creeps
Fenris
A race of large, dark-furred wolves that hunger for any kind of flesh that they can get their teeth around. Able to see in the dark perfectly, and able to move faster than normal wolves, they are killers by nature. The only thing that separates them from their wolf cousins is that they are often single creatures, they do not travel in packs.
Mauler
A giant race of bears, ones that range from 7-8 feet tall. They are usually gray in the fur and completely red in the maw. It is exceedingly hard to kill one with a fire-arm, as they are much stronger than normal beings their size, and usually takes multiple clips to bring one down unless shot in the right places.
Uriels
The worst birds of prey. Though they are smaller than a hawk, they usually travel in flocks of 20-50, and if they coordinate to attack, they can take out very large groups of people. They are usually brownish-black or reddish brown in the feathers. They have very sharp beaks that point like a pencil-tip.
