(Please don't eat me if this is in the wrong forum!)
I am only on Passage to Dawn, but with Harkle being a main character in this book, I've started to grow on him.
I can relate to him because I am so oblivious to what people really mean (as in, I don't understand someone is being sarcastic until the next day) and I am very weird. Although, I am not as cheerful as he is. Quite the opposite. : o
Anybody else like Harkle?
And I just learned today while reading... Harkle is forty! I thought he would be like... in his late twenties or early thirties. Heh

the one in the tower is the only normal one.....
i love harkel!!!!! hes awesome!!. and ur right i thought he would be in his late twenties.. mrgreen

oh i love harkel!!! and his brother bidderdoo. he's awesome. Spoiler....mabey....i remember reading that pwent tried to get bidderdoo to bite him. yeah that was funny. and when harkel gets into a magic fight with Robilard...who is another of my lesser known favorites. and then harkel almost drinks a potion of tensers transformation...that was awesome

Bidderdoo was awesome, but I just sorta like Harkle and his personality a bit more. :3
It sucks how there aren't any pictures of any of the Harpells. D :

I love the Harpells in general. Their home is just so awesome, with the bridge you go underneath and river that goes backwards. My favorite part was when Harkle sent his eyes, but not his body during the Time of Troubles.

It's weird that Harkle would be in his forties! I always thought he was in his late 20s, early 30s. I want to know more about Robillard and his past, but I think he's going to be like Jarlaxle in the way that we won't know his past as deeply as we want to. Bitterdoo is hilarious and I love the scene between him and Pwent. Whenever wizards and dwarves are together, I get into giggling fits because they are drastically opposite of each other, it's great to see each other get annoyed by the others' presence.
