I really don't know, but in a while I still think he cared for his little brother. Its really hard to understand and read Itachi. I guess we'll never really no what went on in his head.

I think he cared about sasuke, and that he was trying to get sasuke ready for a bigger fight. But who will know for sure?

he didnt kill saskue because the eye technique he got from killing his best friend will eventually make him blind
the only way he can counter this is to take the eyes of his brother like toby did but if you guys dont know about toby im not going to tell

I'm guessing that whole "give me your eyes" thing was just a fares. Now we know why Itachi was never serious about abducting Naruto. If Itachi wanted Madara/Tobi dead this whole time, why were they working together? http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/397/17/

rizieroo I think he cared about sasuke, and that he was trying to get sasuke ready for a bigger fight. But who will know for sure? I agree with this. I think Itachi really is the loving older brother he "pretended" to be.

i think he did care about his little brother
but if toby hadnt gotten itachi to train with him and kill the clan he wouldnt be evil lol
so then why would itachi want to kill him
also if itachi ever wants to see again he has to take saskues eyes because you can only fix the side effect with your sibillings eyes
then theres also the fact itachi the hottie he dies
and also i think sasuke gets the eye tech that itachi has when he is in the service of orochimaru

He was implanintg his sharingan techniques to Sasuke. well he wasnt trying to implant his techneques in saskue because like i said he cant saskue has to learn them and kill his best friend which i think he does at one point itachi was implanting his eyes to conteract the blindness effect of the techneque
