>.> Since no one else seems to have made the thread, Gler supposed he shall start it!
So, yes! Celebrating the arrival of Christianity into Ireland! And, pinching anyone who isn't wearing green! (>.> also, drinking green beer)
Much fun it is.
Gler is anticipating what Eires Heart has to say about St. Patrick's day.... for.... no reason.... <.<
(on another note, how many people did everyone pinch today? Did you forget to wear green?)

They always do that every year. Well, I know in Ireland, that everyone is not getting s**t faced like here in America. I could be wrong, but from what I was told from a guy who goes to Ireland every year He says that everyone goes to church. I wore Green and I Sucked Down a Large Shamrock Shake. That's all I did yesterday, No drinking excessively for me sirs. Fo' Rizzles I'm only about 1/8th Irish or so. IDK my mother never studied her family history, all I know fo' show is 50% Norwegian and 25% German. The rest of the Heritage is a Cluster ********>

biggrin Thank you history channel! According to them, the US and afew little party nations where US people vacation are the only places that realy get hardcore shitfaced on St. Patties day. And I think they said we're the only ones who've made a joke about involving the leprechaun(sp) in the festivities.
But I don't drink cause I can't standthe taste of alcohol. I'll get wired on energy drinks, that's good enough for me. biggrin 16 pinches. I think... I'm 1/4 irish. My grandparents on mommies side are full hispanic, my grandma on my dad's side ishispanic and my grandpa on his side is full irish.

The very thing you strive for ... Urgh, it gets worse every single year. This year, on O'Connell street, a group of skangers decided it'd be funny and very patriotic if they jumped a 17 year old English pianist and ripped off his little finger. Luckily, he managed to escape, but without his finger. He rang the guards and they returned to the scene to try to find his finger, but no luck.
He was operated on that day in the Mater hospital in Dublin and his father flew over the day after.
Happy St. Patrick's Day my ******** hole. I can see how we've come so far since all that cuffuffle in the North. ¬_¬
The Article in the Irish Times
I'd say that America are the only country in the world that do the whole pinching thing. We never did it here anyway ... And you're very wrong, everyone gets more than s**t faced on Paddy's Day. We don't go to church, we go to mass. Semantics. The normal Patrick's Day mass was on the 15th because the real St. Patrick's Day was falling during Holy Week and they wanted to go all out on the celebration, so they had it the Saturday before.
But yeah, usually everyone goes to mass and then to the parade and then to the pub and maybe at about 4 in the morning, when the final bell is going, they'd think of going home. ... is the thing that makes you blind

Damn, Easter is so early this year that when I was at my grandma's house I kept on saying Happy Saint Patricks Day on accident. But they were playing Irish folk music since they're supah-Irish and all. And because my brother does a wicked douche-bag-y jig to that kind of music.

The very thing you strive for ... Skangers in Dublin do whatever they feel like. And yeah, it was "hey, let's get the english guy because we're big ******** idiot louts".
@Sith: Only very stubborn Republicans haven't moved on since the Peace process, not a lot of Irish resent them, just some. I don't, for example. ... is the thing that makes you blind
