Okay, I'm bored, so I'm starting a new roleplay based off of the magical world of Harry Potter. xd

Plot: It's 100 years after Harry's time and dark wizards have taken over the Ministry. Hogwarts has been destroyed and it seems as though there is no hope for wizard-kind. There is, however, a small group of rebels and runaways who are trying to thwart the new ministry and restore balance to the wizarding world.

Characters: You can make up pretty much whatever you want. Your characters can be descendants of the actual Harry Potter characters, but they cannot be actual characters from the book. You can be up to two characters, but no more. Then it gets too confusing. biggrin For a character profile, see below.

Rules: Alright, here's the deal.
1. Fill out the character profile template below and PM it to me. I will put it in a post, so that there is only one post and it doesn' clutter everything up.
2. You can only be up to two characters (stated above) and each character must be in a different font color. (This is only necessary for people who have more than one character.)
3. Follow the ToS, etc.
4. Keep it PG-13.
5. Don't God-mod or anything like that. Give people a chance and don't kill them without their consent.
6. Try to stick to the plot and don't go off on your own little tangent.
7. Also try and post in the roleplay as often as you can, so that you're not holding the plot up.

Edit (March 26): For those who have been waiting, I've been away for a while (and without internet access) so I'm sorry it took so long to put your profiles up. And also, don't take it personally if I delete your posts. I just want to make the thread easier to read. And we probably have enough characters to start now, so if anyone feels like it, go ahead.

Character Name: Elri Fin Grayson

Occupation: Elri is the young leader of a small group of runaways, who attempt to do little things to thwart the ministry. She is trying to increase the size of the rebel group so that they can rebuild Hogwarts and restore the ministry.
Background: Elri is a muggleborn. She lived with her parents until she found out that she was a witch. She was in the last year to go to Hogwarts. At the end of her first year, the leader of the dark wizards invaded Hogwarts and destroyed the castle, killing many in the process. Elri was one of the few survivors and has been on the run ever since. She became fairly well known and rose quickly to a position of leadership. She later found that her parents had both died of "unknown reasons" when reading an old muggle newspaper. She has a high price on her head and can no longer appear in public without a disguise.
Description: When not disguised, Elri has shoulder-length brown hair with bright blue eyes. She is about 5'4" and skinny. She is also quite muscular after her many years in the wild. She often wears boyish clothing, and things more suitable for travel. Her skin is quite tan and hardened.
Personality: She has a strong, but silent type of personality. She can seem a bit cruel at times, for she is so passionate about her cause that she will sometimes put it before the well-being of others. However, she loves her friends and companions and knows that they are more important to her survival than anything else.
Other: She is a very powerful witch and sometimes she has trouble controlling this power, since she did not have a complete schooling. She gets very embarrassed when this happens and tries to hide it as often as she can.

Considering that people are slow and I feel like having a second character, I am going to be the evil dictator. Yea! twisted

Side: Evil twisted
Occupation: Christopher is the evil dictator of the new ministry. Although he is not technically the minister, he controls the minister from behind the scenes and plans to dispose of him once his control is complete.
Background: Christopher had an interesting childhood. He went to Hogwarts like any other magical child, but was often teased because of his ugly visage and lack of self-confidence. He wears a long black cloak with a hood that covers his face because of this. After school he could not get a job because no one wanted to hire someone with such a withdrawn personality. He became secretly vengeful and started making plans to kill everyone who ever hurt him in any way throughout his life. He began to gather followers, the few who had always stood by him, and began to understand the rush of power. It went to his head and he decided to make himself the most powerful man in the world and to destroy anyone who disputed this. His parents were the first ones he killed, for they never really cared for him. Coincidentally, he is one of the descendants of Harry Potter himself. Scary.....
Description: Christopher is extremely tall, around 7 feet, with cold, lifeless eyes, the remains of once red hair, and a long nose. He is very skinny, almost unbelievably so, and resembles a twig. As stated before he believes he is fairly ugly and hides himself in a black cloak at all times.
Other: Christopher invented a new type of killing curse which instead of killing instantly, tortures the subject before shutting their system down bit by bit. He is more interested in causing pain to his subjects than killing them completely.

Occupation: Beatrix is a loner that searches for something. Although she doesn't have an official occupation, she carries around a saber and targets weak ministry officers.
Background: Beatrix is a muggle through and through. She is not able to practice magic but makes up for it in her swordsmanship. The whereabouts of her family are unknown but they are assumed alive. She left home when she was 17 to find something, which she continues to search for today.
Description: She has red-brown hair that falls a little longer than shoulder length and has side swept bangs. She has brown eyes but due to the fact she wears a cape all the time she is sometimes mistaken for having black eyes. Beatrix wears a long cape over her clothes most of the time.
Personality: Beatrix loves a good laugh and does so often. Although she can seem dark and distant she usually goes about with a smile on her face. She is not afraid to stand up for herself and never allows harm to come to her friends.
Other: She gets headaches a lot.

Name: Schlff
Side: evil
Age: about 27
Occupation: Special Opps. Force director for the ministry. He is in charge of organizing units of ministry operatives to "keep the peace" with in the world of muggles and wizards a like.
Background: Schlff joined the ministry when he was 15. His ability in dark arts and destructive magic earned him a place within the ministry's top wizards. Initially he joined because he wanted to become a stronger wizard but his reasons have changed over the years. His family matters are unknown along with his real name. His position allows him to have access to tons of information and he often acts on his own, searching out rebels and disruptive muggles.
Description: He is about 5'8 and has short, spikey, blond hair. His eyes are light blue and he usually has a sneer on his face. He has a strong distaste for muggles and has a habit of taking them down on his free time. His attitude is sarcastic and rude but this may be due to the fact that he controls a respectable part of the ministry. He is on fair terms with Price most of the time.
Other: Schlff often bumps heads with a certain muggle because this person tends to attack people working in his department.

Character Name: Richy Andrew Kingstone

Occupation: Author
Background: Richy started life normally, until he found out he had magical powers. He tried to figure out how to use it, but he couldn't. He decided to start writing books, he went through fantasy, sci-fi, comedy and crime before he found the rebel wizards and witches, he was only 14 then, but in the last year he lost almost everything, his family who had been with him for all of his life were murdered, his books were burned and his magic become uncontrolable. He joined the rebel wizards and witches, hoping that he could control his magic and use it to get revenge.
Description: Richy is small, around 5"2' and he has medium length brown hair, kind of in an amore style (Like the one on the avatar for me). He's quite thin and not very strong, but he doesn't know his true power. He always wears jeans and stylish t-shirts or shirts and he always wears emo glasses. Not because he needs them, but because they look cool.
Personality: Richy has multiple personalities. There is the shy one, where he shys away and is very innocent. The playful one which is when he is quite hyper and bouncy. The normal one, where he's calm and peaceful, and never really fussed. The viper one, where he will attack anything that comes near him with everything he's got, although he won't go for friends. The knowledgebale one where he speaks very intellectually and precisely. The dumb one, where he is quite slow-witted and the sarcastic one, where he is very quick-witted and sarcastic. Overall, his personality changes quite frequently depending on the situation, and sometimes they merge together. He also has a fatherly, leaderly personality which comes when it is needed.
Other: Richy is a complete bookworm and an avid gamer. He has played and read a lot of games and books and can never quite stop. He also has a guitar which never leaves his company, it is quite a good weapon as well, and he's quite good at playing it. He also plays the keyboard and quite sadly knows how to play Hikari/Simple and Clean, Hit in America and Gusty Garden Galaxy theme on the keyboard and Simple and Clean, Sorry's Not Good Enough and other multiple songs on the guitar.
He also has a laptop which is like his life, he could not live whithout it.

Occupation: Leni isn’t old enough to have a career and was part of Hogwarts before the Ministry took it down. But, while at Hogwarts, she developed a close bond with the creatures of the dark forest among other wild animals. She has the ability to bond with creatures quickly.
Background: Leni Scarlett Lovegood is the granddaughter of Luna Lovegood. She is the daughter of Belinda Lovegood-Blacker and her father, Rolfe Blacker. Her father died when she was young. Her mom took on her maiden name, and Leni inherited it. She grew up in a small home in London and went to Hogwarts in for two years when the Dark Wizards came and tore it down. At the time, she was in the woods alone and had no trouble escaping. Leni found Elri shortly after the fall of Hogwarts. They have been on the run for a quite a while, now.
Description: Leni has cropped ice blonde hair. Formerly, it was to her shoulder blades, but it became a nuisance, and with an unskillful hand for cutting hair, she chopped it off. It’s uneven and to her shoulders. It’s not incredibly thick and she has it parted to the side. Her eyes are a blue-gray and her face is delicate. She’s pale and has normal lips. Her complexion is clear. Her ears are pierced. She is about 5’3”, short compared to most. She has a seemingly delicate appearance, but she’s truly quite athletic and can fend for herself well. Scars are abundant on her body.
Personality: Leni is a sensitive girl and a very good actress. Most of the time, she tries not to create conflict and goes with the flow. She keeps her thoughts and emotions to herself, only showing the positive side. She isn’t angered very easily, but when someone manages to provoke her, she can be very harsh and cruel. Her tone can become bitingly sarcastic and create deep emotional wounds for others around her. It will seem as if no one knows her, but the anger will quickly subside and she will be calm and happy once again. She is mostly kind and friendly to everyone and can be trusted. However, she has a hard time trusting others. When she first meets someone, she’s very shy, but after a time, warms up to the person and is likable. She can be very clever and trick people easily.
Other: Leni has a tendency be clumsy, but never seems to break anything, only receiving bruises. She has a habit to bite her nails. She loves to wander off alone, and when faced with a problem, she often talks it out with herself or another animal. She isn’t incredibly talented at magic, like some are, but knows a fair amount and is reasonably apt at it. On her journey, she has picked up quite a few spells and has mastered whatever she can learn.

Occupation: None sadly.
Story: Harmony lived a pretty normal life, well for that of a witch. When her and her twin had come of age and began learning of their gifts, father died, and their mother began dating. It was the latest man in Cerise's life that had persuaded her to turn to the dark side and 'abandon' her children because of the views they had shared with their father. Once in school, they had heard nothing more from Cerise. Harmony hated them for this, and set up as many spells as she could before being sent off in an attempt to make their life a living hell. Harmony has always been the more ruthless of the two, where James was the voice of reason. No one had ever wanted to make Harmony angry at home for they knew it would end badly. Now her and her brother are surrounded by the evil influences their mother would hope to change them.
Appearance: Harmony stands at about five foot five inches when not walking around in a pair of her favored heels. Her hair was styled with the left side being about four inches shorter than the right. Her hair was a jet black with a shine like the moon. Her eyes were a soft almond shape. Her eyes looked light bright pure emeralds, which was quite the contrast with her hair. Above her left eye, her eyebrow was priced with a curving silver bar with two balls at the ends to make it stay in place, both balls were a deep blue. The bottom lip of her curvy mouth was priced as well towards the right. That too had a piece of silver jewelry threaded through the hole. Her neck was long and curvy, making her look graceful. Her body also curved in the right places, making the boys back home go nuts. Her arms and legs were long and slender, and her fingers were the same way, with a silver ring placed on each. Her skin was a natural tan color, making her look warm all year round.
Personality: Harmony is the ruthless one of the twins, and always the ever so blunt one. When you ask her something always expect her to give you the answer she holds straight up. Some cold almost mistake her for being evil in the way she acts around others, she could almost be the extreme opposite of her brother, but boy do they both have tempers.
Other: Harmony has a smoky colored rat named Luc

Story: James lived a basic, normal life for that of a blood born witch, Well up to the point where his mother joined the dark side. He is younger than Harmony by about nine hours or so, born right after dawn where his sister had been born right after dusk, but he had always felt like an older brother being as he had to keep her in balance so much. Some times he would wonder what would happen to Harmony if he wouldn't have been by her side in her hair brained schemes he knew she hated their mother, Cerise, she had even blamed their mother for their father's, Marcel's, death. He also knew that she had such a hate for their new 'stepfather' Charley, where James had just pitied him. Before they had left James had worked hard to undo Harmony's many spells on the house, Cerise, and Charley to prevent anything bad from happening, after all two wrongs couldn't make a right.
Appearance: James was about a foot or so taller than his sister, standing at about six foot three inches. His hair was colored to match, a straight jet black that came naturally to the twins. His eyes were hard, and a little rounder than his sisters, but still the same brilliant emerald green. In the eye brow above his right eye was threaded a piece of gold jewelry with two green balls holding it in place. His mouth was large a full, causing little dimples when he would smile. On his lower lip was another pricing on the left side, mirroring his sisters, though what was strange about this was that they had both done this on accident. His body was not thin and taunt as most thought it would be when he would grow up, but it wasn't quite the opposite ether. His body type lay some where in the middle, with some muscles in all the right places. His shoulders were broad and on his neck was the hint of his Adams apple. His skin was the same warm tan color he shared with his sister.
Personality: James is the more reserved, quiet one of the twins. He likes to look at things from all angles before making a decision, or just rush into things. He has always been the kinder one, the one everyone could see as good, the complete opposite of his sister, whom he loved unconditonaly. Though of course don't get James angry... And especially not over his sister, whom he has felt bound to protect.
Other: James has a white rat with black eyes named Clio

Character Name: Deidrick Bloodsbane
Age: 45
Gender: Male
Side: Evil
Occupation: Director of Special Operations. Bloodsbane takes care of Price's dirty work when Price wants it to be done off the radar.
Background: Deidrick had a normal life. He grew up in a wizarding village under the care of outstanding witch and warlock parents. As a boy he was highly interested in community service and being kind to everybody. Early on in his Ministry career he was a leading activist in Subspecies rights and for peace with muggles. However, one day he was hit in the head with a rather large rock. Since then, he has whole-heartedly support Price. Hobbies now include transfiguring small objects into bugs and then charming their legs off, eating rabbit stew, kicking puppies, and crocheting.
Description: Tall, dark, and brooding, Deidrick Bloodsbane has high cheek bones and olive skin. He has short, neatly trimmed dark brown hair which is just showing signs of graying. A neat mustache/goatee combo makes him look like the devil.
Personality: Deidrick loves doing all sorts of shady things. When the rock hit him in the head it seemed to have jarred loose his subconscious, animal desires. Nothing gives him more pleasure than to cause other people harm. An aversion to fame and the lime-light makes him the perfectly loyal weapon for Price.
Other: Deidrick's favorite flower is the lily. He's a leo looking for love. And, one day he wants to settle down and have kids, although it looks like his biological clock may run out soon!

Character Name: Damien Lucius Potter
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Side: This is complicated. His parents work for the evil dictator but he doesn't believe in his work. So I guess he would be good.
Occupation: He just recently ran away from home, he hasn't met up with any of the right people yet. He hopes to find the ban of run aways that his parents were always talking about.
Background: His parents work for the evil dictator, they are his assasins. They pride themselves on being distant cousins of the Malfoys and tend to not talk about them being direct desendents of the famous Harry Potter. Damien was training to become one as well until he was force to kill and innocent young wizard (he didn't though, he ran away). Now he is running to go join up with a band of run aways like himself. He can only hope that they will except him for who is was.
Description: Blazing green eyes, very handsome features, and has jet black hair. He is medium highth and build. He tend to have a preppy pretty boy stands, but he tries to fit in with whom ever he comes across. He has a talent for bleding in.
Personality: He is dark and mysterious, which makes him at times irresistable. He is strong, brave, and daring. He is very loyal and will fight until the end
Other: He is very good with his wand and on his broom, his most prized posestion.

Occupation: Hired help
Background: Once everything fell to Price's biddings, Apox was left along, his family slaughtered, but, he didn't care, he never quite liked them much, they never truely understood the way he thought. Goin it on his own for a while, he fought off anything and anyone that came at him with hostility. He grew tired of it and trained himself, using abandoned books and anything else he could of resource. Eventually he became very good at protection and better at defense/attack and full on attack. Though he has never used the killing curse, he has a body count. With others watching him, they started offering to hire him to help them out, and so he began his line of work, charging very low so that anyone could hire him.
Description: Apox stands at 5'11. His figure is very slender, nearly skeletal. His skin-pale . Apox has blue eyes, a blue that penetrates into ones mind, causing paranoia, he cannot read minds though. His hair is a faded deep burgendy, a near purple in some light. he usually dresses in black, fitting clothes, not skin tight, but fitting, loose enough t move swiftly(usually black jeans and a t-shirt or long sleeve). His robes are black as well, allowing (along with his clothes) him to blend in with the shadows durring a job and fall down to just below mid-shin. Alas, he wears worn in combat boots to finish his attire, black of course.
Personality: Apox is quite bright, allowing him to help with personal problems for no charge. He is usualy distant though, only talking when need be, but if he sticks around for a while, he can start to open up.
Other: He's been known to have an odd taste in foods.

Background: Parents were killed be evil wizards, she just started going to Hogwarts when it was taken over
Description: Half-elf (if that can't happen just a human), short, dark hair, pretty (I guess)
Personality: Usually nice, but if you get her mad.... it's your funeral

Occupation: Yuki is very pale for his age, he has Sirius Black's long black hair and silver eyes for an unknow reason.
Background: Yuki is the last living member of the Black family...and Sirius's great-great-grand son. No one knows of this though. Yuki was four years old when he lost his family. He ran for his life, but was bitten by a werewolve. When he was six years old, he was found by a very old vampire and taken to a large coven. Yuki was beaten, raped and feed on until he was sixteen. That was when they made the mistake of turning him. He is now the only vampire-werewolf hybird known in the world, the dark side wishes his powers, since his mother was a Potter.
Description: Yuki is 5'7, weighs about 22 but is light as a feather. He has long black hair and silver eyes. He wears all black, black long slevee shirt, a black dog collor, black cargo pants and steel-toed combat boots.
Personality: shy, scared of what is happing, closed off and at times cold
Other: has another personatily, Nagasaki.

Elri bent over her small pile of wood, trying to get a fire going. Of course, her wand sticking out of her back pocket might have helped, but considering she was being tracked by dark wizards, it probably wasn't safe. She thought about the raid they had had last night. "Useless!" she said to herself. "We lost two people... and for what? Only to have that stupid Christopher Price escape again. We had him! Ugggggghhhhhh!"
She decided to risk lighting a fire magically while waiting for Leni and the rest to come back. "What harm could it possibly do?"

"Aww Richy, you know I wish I could help you with your magic," Elri sighed sympathetically. "But I don't know a thing about wandmaking. And plus, I'm not completely in control of my magic either. And thanks for the tip, I'll use a covering spell." Covering spells were handy inventions, created by some of the first rebel wizards. They hid small spells necessary for survival from anyone trying to use magic to track. "Christopher Price... where are you?" she mumbled softly. The evil dictator was constantly in her thoughts. He had killed so many... and his followers were even worse. They tortured people just for the fun of it. Elri shuddered just thinking about it.

Elri got up and streched. For some reason she was feeling quite antsy. She wanted to go out and do something, but she knew it would be foolish to start another attack before everyone was healed. Most of the rebels were out looking for food anyways. She and Richy always stayed behind and guarded the camp, but Elri preferred to be in the middle of the action. Suddenly, she saw a slight movement in the bushes. "Richy," she whispered. "Do you see anything?" But there was no reply. She looked behind her, but Richy was gone and someone else was standing in his place.

Christopher was angry. Very angry. Things weren't going according to his plans. The rebels were still alive. "Only two! Only two! All of the rebels were supposed to be dead by now! And we only killed two last night! Great," he mumbled to himself as he paced his study. Of course all of his men had got away safely, but Christopher still wasn't content. He didn't care about his men. All he cared about was himself... And revenge. Of course he'd managed to apparate before things got too dicey. He wouldn't have gone at all, but he hadn't shown himself to the rebels for a while. It seemed to egg them on, seeing him in the midst of battle... He liked it. He fed off their anger, their despair, their emotion... It was his fuel, and yet they could not realize that. He harnessed that energy and it boosted his power. If the rebels ever figured that out... it would be the end. Unless... Christopher did have backup plans up his sleeve. He only wished he didn't have to use them. The results could be disastrous.
