This is a guide for those who haven't already found the Lord's Mail, or have started and can't find what to do with that pesky Worn Imperial Key. I'm praying for a sticky on this one mrgreen and I hope to be posting more how-to's like this.
Okay, so, in Ebonheart, at the Six Fishes Inn, there's an Argonian by the name of Chann Lee. Make him like you (a disposition of 76 is enough), and ask about the latest rumors. He'll tell you that the Lord's Mail has disappeared. Scroll further down the topic list and ask about the Lord's Mail. He'll tell you to talk to a man named Rufinus, in the Ebonheart Imperial Commission.
Leave the Six Fishes. Cross the bridge over to Castle Ebonheart, the Grand Council Chambers. Once inside, take a right turn, and go through the door in the corner to your left, labeled "Imperial Commission". Talk to Rufinus, he's over by the book-shelf. Gray-haired Imperial, can't miss him. He'll mention a guy named "Furius Acilius". Increase his disposition, and ask him about him. He'll tell you to ask around the Imperial Guard Garrison.
There's a door inside the Commission, one labeled "Imperial Guard Garrison". Go through it, and persuade someone to talk about Furius Acilius. They'll tell you he used the southwest room down there. Check your mini-map. Go to the room in the southwest corner. Under the pillow, barely sticking out, is a Worn Imperial Key. Take it.
There are two options from here. Both have risks, so listen closely.
The first option is to go back into the Imperial Commission, and go down one of the two double-doorways. There will be a small room, with two Duke's Guards standing outside of an Imperial Shrine door, lock level 90. If you're good enough, pick the lock, or use an Opening spell. Inside the room is an inactive Imperial Cult Altar (you can't use this one, it does nothing.) On the altar are some bits of Imperial armor. To the right, there should be a big blank spot in the wall. If you walk up to this blank spot, it should say "Hidden Door, Lock level 95" or something like that. The Worn Imperial Key should open this lock. There's a small room, with a door labeled "Ebonheart: Underground Caves". Go out that door. You'll be in an underground tunnel. Take a left at the 4-way ( biggrin ) and follow it all the way. Furius Acilius will be standing near a campfire. Go up and talk to them. He'll rant about 'those bastards', and then attack you. Once you kill him, you'll have the Lord's Mail and a Demon Katana. To leave, simply go out the way you came.
WARNING: He is very strong. The first time I took him on, I died from a single swing of his Demon Katana.
The second option is to leave the Grand Council Chambers and go back into the city. Once out at the docks, go for a swim! Head around the back of the castle. Somewhere around there is a little cave entrance. It takes you into the same set of caves from the first option. To find Furius, just go straight instead of turning.
Enjoy!
