Erin slammed the door of the pick up shut. She'd just come back from helping her dad on the site. They were staying in a cabin in this place called Pine Valley for the summer at least. She'd also heard there were trailers and an actually camp ground but nope, Dad always went for big. She sighed looking about the house. Bathroom, kitchen, dad's workroom/living/dining room, and their bedrooms on the second floor. She heard a barking so she went back outside her work boots thumping on the gravel drive. "Hey Matt." She clicked her tongue and Matt stopped barking and sat. She climbed into the bed of the pick up and unclipped him from the harness. Matt was a German Sheppard and his shoulders came up to her waist. "Hey Matty! Come on!" She ran out of the truck only to be tackled into the grass. "Real grass Matty, and it's ours!" She said as she attempted to push Matt off her. She was laughing a total idiot.

Brooke slammed the door of the room she shared with Molly, adding to the usual morning clamor. Will was tossing pancakes off the skillet like a madman, Jack was watching a stopwatch, yelling encouragement at Will who was apperantly trying to beat a record, Molly was coloring while eating pancakes, and Ben was chatting loudly to their mother, the only one not making noise/a mess. "Mom, can I repeat my request for a bigger cabin??? You got a raise, and I can't share a room with Molly forever and you saw what Jack did to Will's arm! We need somewhere with like four rooms. You, me, Molly, Will, and Jack and Ben, since they're the most like twins out of all of us. Which is impressive, because Jack and Will are nearly twins and Molly and Ben ARE. Seriously though, the Hauser's just moved out! Think about it?" Her mother just gave her the 'don't you love your family? Don't worry I'm working on it" look. "Be quiet Brooke, I don't want my own room, it'd be scary with just me!" "Well what are all those stuffed animals you've got for? Besides, you'll be happy once you get older." Molly just pouted. Brooke sighed. "Will, can I have some non-speed made pancakes?"

Her parents drove the normal path they always took to get up to the park, as she sat there in the van, listening to her mp3, admiring out the window how the buildings start to disappear and all you can see is trees galore and fields of grass that run for miles. Once they finally arrived they drove up the gravelled path, did some twists and turns and finally reached her cottage. They pulled up in their homemade parking spot, Reily jumped out and quickly started unpacking. She would run inside with every item and put it were it had to go in the cottage as quickly as possible. Once she grabbed her last thing which was her bag of stuff she ran back into the cottage up to her room. She quickly opened the bag by undoing the zipper. She started digging through it, looking for one certain thing only. She dug around for a few minutes then pulled out a beige looking vest. She put it on, it wasn't just any ordinary vest, it was her fishing vest, and she had been waiting to finally wear it. She also then threw on her old fishing hat to protect her face from the sun and ran outside.
She ran over to the van, dug in the back and pulled out her new fishing rod. She said to herself, this will work great!, she said taking it out and setting it down leaning on the cottage porch. She then shut the back door, and walked over to the passenger side door opened it and reached down in between the seats and pulled out a small contained, "Here's the worms!", she yelled joyfully to no one but herself. She then walked over to the shed on her property and pulled out a bucket, a net, a tackle box.
She thought to herself again, it looks like I have everything, she said. But then she remembered she should put on her sandels so she walked back over to the porch were her dog Buttons was laying down. She then told her parents that she was heading down to the pond, and would be down there for a couple hours. Her parents said that it was fine, and off she went walking down the graveled path heading towards the pond carrying all her supplies.

Brooke finished her pancakes and walked out of the cottage/cabin/thing. She grabbed her bike and out to the road, dodging random stuff on their lawn. Will ran out and grabbed his own bike, and tried to catch up to her. "BROOKE!! You PROMISED you'd teach me how to twist Jack's arm the right way." "Did not. Why would I promise to do that?" "So I'd fess up about getting a D in Band." "Oh yeah... How about I teach you how to clean fish or something instead?" "You don't know how to do that!" She sighed. "No time like the present to learn, eh?" "TEACH ME TO CAUSE PAIN!!!" "NEVER!!" She sped up, pretty sure she could loose him. If not well... Twist his arm.

Erin was being licked to death, which wasn't cool in her book, and he was HEAVY! She clicked her tongue and Matt got off her and sat. "That's a good boy." She gave him some of her beef jerky and grabbed her bike, slightly annoyed that she couldn't ride her motorcycle here. She'd just gotten her M1 and everything. Oh well, she grabbed Matt's leash and clipped him to her bike. She'd had him since he was a puppy going on 4 years now. He was like her brother and acted like one sometimes. She started riding and he trotted along beside her. Today was only her second day and she didn't know anyone nor cared, they would only be here for the summer and she'd be working most of it anyway. Her loose short sleeved cameo shirt flapped in the breeze. She yawned and followed the graveled rode to nowhere.

Brooke sighed from on op of Will's back. He was trying to lift himself up, but it wasn't working, due to his older (and just barely bigger crying ) sister on his back. "So, why do we not try to hurt our siblings?" "YOU ARE AN EVIL HYPOCRITE!!" "I know. Now promise you won't go trying to injure Jack, Ben or Molly. Or me, but I think you learned that. Then again, I've thought that a lot. You just don't learn." Will muttered under his breath. Then again, since it was Will, she could hear him. Poor boy didn't know that meaning of QUIET. "Stupid sister. Someday I'll be bigger and taller and probably stronger than you, just you wait. Then I'll show ya." "Yeah, yeah, move on. And never underestimate small people, and especially never underestimate girls, you'll get creamed." "I KNOW! You've told me before!" "And you have learned well!" She got off and hauled him up. "So, target practice?"

Whatever the other girl had said was ended by Matt's barking and literally dragging Erin over. She clicked her tongue to make him sit and stop barking but he whined. She dismounted her bike and looked down at the younger girl and she guessed brother. "Sorry about Matthew. He thought the boy stood a chance of actually beating the girl." She snickered down at the boy who the girl had been sitting on previously. She smiled at the girl. "Nice work putting the guy in his place I had to do that at the construction site this morning. It wasn't pretty for the guy. I'm Erin." She remounted her bike and patted Matt. "I guess i'll see you around." She and Matt continued their ride. "No point in getting to know these people, it will make leaving them behind harder wont it Matt?" She wished Matt could talk sometimes.

Brooke blinked. She looked at Will and shrugged. "Random..." They set off to the range. Will wasn't a pyromaniac like Jack. He wasn't a pacifist like Ben. He didn't have the need for speed Molly had or the physical karate-stuff Brooke liked doing. Will was the sniper of the family. Brooke had always had a thing for any kind of weapon and Will needed someone to compete aginst, so she usually got dragged along. Besides, he usually beat her and her mom was always telling her to be nice to his self asteem. "Hey did you see that dog? He was huge, do you think Mom would let us get one?" "No, she's still regretting the goldfish incident." "That was your fault." "WAS NOT!" "Admit it Brooke, you screwed up." "Never."

((WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE GOLDFISH?!)) Well any who after several more miles she found a nice big tree, and climbing up into one of the lower branches, she pulled out a tennis ball. She was less then 4 feet off the ground so when Matt brought the ball back, all he had to do was put paws on the trunk and she could easily take the ball from him. They did this for about an hour until Matt was tired, then she hopped down and leaning on the trunk, fell asleep. Matt's head was on her ankle, not that she felt it thanks to her work boots.

Nothing. It just... kind of... Never mind.
Brooke fired. It hit the paper, and the circle, but no bullseye. "Dang it... Will stop showing off!!" He was firing cooly from a prone position, talking into a pretend headset. "Yeah, I got him. What? OK, 12 o clock. NO, he's got a proofed vest! Look out Mr. President!!" Brooke resisted the urge to hit him. "Now you're just putting on a show!" She shot again without really aiming. Bullseye. "Well that worked." "MR. PRESIDENT!!! NOOOOOOO!!!" Brooke banged her head on the wood floor.

((Died?)) Erin and Matt were still asleep under the tree until a bird landed on her cameo hat and pecked her. "Ow what was that for!" She yelled at it as Matt jumped up and proceeded to snap at it. "Come Matt let's go home." She yawned and re leashed Matt and remounted her bike and headed home.

Ate the other goldfish and died from food poisoning. sweatdrop
Brooke ran half screaming, half laughing. Mostly laughing. "WILL! I swear I didn't shoot at the President! Or hit him!" "I know you didn't! You did shoot at him, but you hit his favorite Secret Service bodyguard! He has ordered your death!!" "Dude, why does it have to be a he anyway?" Brooke decided to screw it and turned, hitting Will lightly in the stomach. He fell in an extremely faked way, then acted like a dying person with a twitch. "Tell... Mom... I loved her and... She should never... raise Jack's allowance... And in my memory... I want all of you descendants to be named Will... All... Of them..." "Don't talk like that! You're going to be fine! Now lets get you to the-- Will? WILL! WIIIIILLLLL!!!" Brooke played along with him for a second, then kicked him lightly. "Come on, lets go. I have a craving for some swimming." "Passing. More target practice." "Right, bye bye."

((Oh well that happens my goldfish ate my algae eater... nasty mess to clean up.)) Erin and Matt were riding by when the girl she met earlier came out. She didn't say anything. She headed back to her cabin that was only two doors down from hers Erin mused. For once Matt didn't bark.

As Brooke went past she noticed the extra car in their driveway. She got in the house and saw her mom at the table with three other women and remembered. "Hi Mom. Hi Lori, Charlie, Cathy." "Hey Brooke, what're you doing." "Was gonna go swimming since it warmed up." "Kay." She went and changed into her swimming suit and grabbed a towel then snuck back out past her mom and her friends/singing buddies. She passed Ben and Jack who were carrying a jar full of bugs. "Hey guys. Don't take those in the house, they're practicing." "Why would we take them in the house?" "I'm just saying. Anyway, you owe me, I didn't teach Will how to kill you." She went on and came to the lake. she waded in and stood there for a moment. Warmed up, yes. Still insanely cold, yes.
