So, a few of you probably already know that I'm in effort of looking for a job. WELL! This has gone into overdrive now, and I have set a goal of $1000 by July. Why July? Anime Expo! My dad has agreed that if I can get the money for the flight/hotel/etc that he'll take me.
SO! I'll keep a log here of how things go.
Goal: $1000. Total: $0
March 21st:
Started, posted 'job wanted' on Craigslist, currently looking for a job.

I work at Mc Donalds and only get $6.50. So If you decide to work at a place like that they would hire you pretty damn fast.
You have 4 months to get that, which comes to $250 a month(If you start at the beginning of April).
You get paid every two weeks (For me at least, a week at other ones). So you'd need to make about $125 bucks every two weeks. For $6.50 an hour, you'd need to work a grand total of 10 hours every week.
So if you decide to go for the last resort job, that would be what you'd get. 3nodding
Some places require drug tests, but Mc Donalds doesn't. o.o

Most of the places I've eaten at (and the place I worked at) was made up of mostly minors and 18 year olds.

 You can try being a waiter. Waiters get better pay than fast food workers and sometimes they get huge tips.

In order to work underage you have to get a work permit from your school or from a local school. I'm looking for a job as well and that's what I'll have to do once someone hires me.

That depends on your state, actually. In Texas, 16 year olds could work without one.

I had to buy one when I was 14 to work. It cost 5 bucks, but your work should repay you.

Good luck Matt. You'd have to gather around $300 each month, $75 per week... So If you only work on weekends... that's 35 bucks per day you have to make! Should be easy, you only have to sacrifice any chance of hanging out with friends during those days or any other fun activity : D... ah.. life..
Of course there's many other options biggrin
Babysit a cousin for $20 each visit (or maybe $5 per hour), and you can easily make $840 In JUST A WEEK! biggrin (24/7 lulz)

Turns out chances are I wont be able to make it.

No family members other than dad, and the city doesnt look into babysitting much. =/
