Do you need to know Japanese to play it?..Cause I bought it from Japan, and haven't played it yet but I'm worried I may not be able to play it correctly..

... Dude... it's Disgaea 3 hitting the U.S. in like a month or two? O.o
Anyway, yeah... as far as Japanese games go (including RPGs) you do or don't need to know Japanese. I don't think Disgaea is the kind of game you need to know Japanese to beat if you got it in Japanese, but it'll kick the learning curve up a hell of a lot.
...I dunno why you'd want to get an RPG in Japanese if you don't know it though... >.>

They've already made the third one? 0_o I haven't even finished playing the second one yet crying (at least I have the manga to follow storyline with ^_^)
And yeah, you can usually get along in most JSRPGs (Japanese Strategy RPG) without much trouble even if you don't know the language. You'll likely miss out on a lot of secret items, but you don't really need them to beat the game. The toughest part will be figuring out mission objectives for any levels that aren't 'defeat all enemies'.
Also, you should check around gamefaqs or other sites like it to see if anyone's posted up translations of the menu screens and the like; you usually see them do that kind of thing for a lot of the SRW games, so they might have them for Disgaea as well 3nodding
