Welcome to the new Information post of the Quester's Subforum (yes, Ryuu does INDEED rock your socks). We decided that we need to place a few more ground rules here in the thread, as well as place some things acceptable and not acceptable. So a new thread has been created!
In this new thread we will not only have those ground rules, but also a sample form to give you an idea of what to put, what elements are already taken, a list of reserved elements, and a list of elements that have been suggested in the past.
So without further ado, please read on!

So, we decided after reading a bunch of the quests that we need some ground rules. This was because we keep seeing things that just bother us or make no sense. So I'll be posting them here, along with clarification.
[One] No Abnormal Elements.
What does this mean? This means that you can only use normal food items, things that are likely to be found in the Shiroko mansion. None of its inhabitants are connoisseurs of food, and are therefore unlikely to import any rare foods. Oh, sometimes there MIGHT be one or two, if Aylee's feeling particularly strange, or they've had an odd house guest, but normally there won't be any.
In other words, if it isn't likely to be found in your local grocery store, the Mansion isn't likely to have it. If you feel you OMG MUST HAVE IT, you're going to have to get me (Aylee) to approve it. And if I can't come up with justification for it being there right off the top of my head, you're not going to be able to use it. Sorry!
[Two] No Alcoholic Elements.
While yes, there IS likely to be alcohol in the Mansion (Ryuu's a bartender and Rian drinks regularly, after all), I don't think it's appropriate for there to be an alcoholic beverage Sin. I just don't. So no matter how much money you may want to bribe me with, you aren't getting one. It's just NOT happening.
[Three] Don't be overly descriptive!
I've noticed this happening with a lot of the quests, lately: People describing the facial expressions and clothes and hairstyles of their Sin. Please do NOT do this. These things change with every single stage and are at my discretion. You can make SUGGESTIONS, sure, and say 'Oh, hey, I kinda want their hair wavy/curly/straight/whatever' and I'll probably do it, but I'm NOT going to put it in the exact style you want. Sometimes it's just not feasible with the pose I want to do.
[Four] No Sin will look completely human!
I think the only exception to this rule is Ronin, and even HE has gold rings on his wrists. Sin are NOT humans, and part of Chaco's plot (or his charm?) is that he, uh, CAN'T make a Sin look completely human. He was still in training when he left the Old Kingdom and doesn't know how to do it. So ALL Sin will have some odd feature or other, be they markings or something a little more physical. Please keep this in mind!
[Five] No Wings or Multi-Colored Eyes
I stated this in the custom post on the front page, but I feel it bears repeating. We have FAR too many Sin'aeis with Wings and/or multi-colored eyes, so no more of those, please! Try to be original.

So, we noticed that a lot of the quest threads don't have very good organization. Why is that, we wondered. So, in an effort to make things easier for us, here's a basic idea of what to include in your quest threads: Sample Table of Contents: 1. First Post (Welcome post? IDK, whatever you want?) 2. Sin'aeis Info 3. Protector Info 4. Element Info (i.e. why did you choose this element/how will it affect your Sin?) 5. Funds 6. Family Info (who else will be living with the Sin and their Protector? Anyone? How will they affect the Sin? This category isn't all that important, but it can be interesting) Sample Sin Info Form [b][u]Name:[/u][/b]

Personality: Chaco is over all a very timid person. He doesn't like to argue with people if he can help it, and questioning authority isn't really something he does very often. Of course, he WILL rebel on occasion, if the situation demands it, but those situations are very rare and inbetween. For the most part he does what others ask of him, and apologizes profusely is he screws up. Unfortunately for his job, Chaco isn't much of a people person. He does very bad when he's with new people, and he tends to fidget and say 'uhm' a lot. Unless he's annoyed (usually at Illesi) it's actually rare to find him NOT saying 'uhm', even when he's comfortable with a person. Just one of those funny little ticks of his, I suppose. Likes: Cleaning, Chocolate, Children, When things are working properly, Ryuu (for helping him clean) Dislikes: Kleptomania (his own, specifically), Cooking, Illesi, Messy rooms, Broken dustpans, Blood Hobbies: Cleaning the Shiroko Mansion, caring for his mother's children, ignoring Illesi Other Chaco was once the prince of the Old Kingdom, though Chaco hasn't always been his name. In fact it used to be Ariadn, though very few people know this, these days. He's even gone so far as to ignore people who call him this, because he isn't that person anymore, he says. Not that this has stopped his kleptomania, a remnant of the OK. Now you don't HAVE to use this form, and you can add or take things away from it as you wish. It's just a general guideline to go with. We DO hope you'll be a little more in-depth with the personality than I've regretfully been. My brain has begun to Fry, I think.
