What does GOD want?
Can somebody really answer me that question and be confident about saying it, what am I saying if course you probably can. Seeing as though you've been programed by the church to do so, but put aside what someone else has told you and please tell me what you think personally. I mean if you do have something apart from what the church has told you, and when I say what does GOD want I mean, overall, not just what you think he plan is for you or me.

God wants us to be ourselves, and live the life he wanted us to live. make the right decision and worship him because he is our lord and savior. And no sir we are NOT programed by the church. We have our on views on things that may go on in life, the church does not control what we do or say.

God wants you to love Him with your own heart...He doesnt want you to be dragged in Him because of what other people says. If you love Him, You will Do what ever you can for him. Through your own understandings

Our main goal in life as a Christian is to save souls and to worship and praise GOD with all of our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls. Yes, He wants you to be happy too, but he wants you to keep away from sinning.

Hangelic God wants us to be ourselves, and live the life he wanted us to live. Quote: thats impossible to be ourselves and live the way GOD wanted according to the Bible ourselves are sinful, and GOD doesn't want us to be sinful. Unless you meant something else I think what you just said is incoherent. make the right decision and worship him because he is our lord and savior. Quote: Why does GOD want us to worship him? And no sir we are NOT programed by the church. We have our on views on things that may go on in life, the church does not control what we do or say. Quote: Generally speaking alot(not all) of christians act and think the same way, so I would assume you have been programmed to think a certain way, but hey I could be wrong.

Through your own understandings I guess, but what if GOD wants me to do things I don't want to do, and don't give me that whole well if you love GOD you should want to do this for him, because alot of people love other people, but they don't want to set aside what they believe in for these people.

Then they arent really in love. People toss the word "Love" around like its candy. If you really love someone you would go out of you way to do something for someone else. So yes If you love God, you would want to do this for him. Satan wants you to not to believe this as a solution. A lot of the times God will ask things we will not want to do, but he will never put anything on our shoulders we cannot handle.

Thats what God really wants, like I said, God wants us to love him with our own choice.

*gasp* You're telling me to read my Bible? xd I was rather under the impression that ninety-nine per cent of non-Catholic Christians considered any edition rather than the King James I to be blasphemous. My Bible is the New Revised Standard Version: Anglicized Edition with Cross-References and Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical Books. When I told my friend Anna (devout Protestant Christian) that my Bible included the Apocrypha, she started crying...
Anyway, I digress. The point I wanted to make is that "the Fall" is... wrong It contradicts what everyone always says about free will. If Wo/Man had no knowledge of Good and Evil before eating the forbidden fruit, then they didn't have free will. They knew no evil. Eating the apple is symbolic of attaining knowledge, of attaining a moral compass. Adam and Eve attained free will by the act of eating of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. This isn't leading anywhere, is it? Sorry... sweatdrop

-Elite Dreamer- God wants us to be ourselves, and live the life he wanted us to live. make the right decision and worship him because he is our lord and savior. And no sir we are NOT programed by the church. We have our on views on things that may go on in life, the church does not control what we do or say. What makes what the Bible says the right thing? Who - besides people who claim to know so much about the Bible and people who can say it because they have some kind of authority in the Church - said that it's right? What makes those things right and other things wrong? So what if it says it's a 'sin'. If having sex before marriage is so bad, why did God give us these feelings? If stealing is a sin, why is God letting people live on the streets with no food and shelter? If yelling at your parents is such a sin, why did he give us parents we never ever agree with? Give me an answer for that, and then maybe I'll try a little harder to do the 'right' thing and believe what the Bible is telling me.

So you're saying that since Adam and Eve didn't have any knowledge of Good and Evil - they didn't have free will?
