Ohk.
I'm writing a book that is takes place in France during the mid-to-late 19th century.

I have everything all in my head. All I need to do is write it.
I have these endless ideas and when I get up to my {(-cough- MOM'S - cough-)} laptop, I completely blank out.

It's not Writers' Block though. =l

For some reason, I can't write a thing.
I have ALL the stinkin' ideas and ALL of the sentence structure and ALL of this stuff but I dunno what to do...at ALL.
xD

Is it me or am I going crazy? x.0

And and and and.
For research purposes. -winkwinknudgenudge-
No, really. xD

Any websites that has history of France during the mid-to-late 1800's. whee
Even half of a website will be greatly appreciated.
You'll get cookies. ^^

Or if you're on a quest to loose weight...
BANANASSSS!!!
^.^
Ohk, that's all. xD

xd xd xd

lol. Yeah, I know what you mean mel0deis. All that I can recommend to you is write anyway. The same thing used to happen to me: I'd get a burst of information, plots, characters, scenes that I would play in my head, yet every time I sat down on the computer, my mind was blank.

Suggestion: Keep a pen and a pad of paper with you. Every time you get an idea, any time you get an idea, write it down. After a while, you train yourself to latch onto every thought and every plot twist, and remember it so that you can put those words in your head into words on the paper. It takes a little while, but it works, believe me.

~~Good luck!! heart

-Pulls out a stethescope and places it against your forehead, then winces- Ooh. I've seen these symptoms before. Many times. -nods-

In fact, I've even seen this happen to myself. It sounds as if you got an idea that you loved, and so you jumped headfirst into the research and plotting. It seems you have done so much researching and planning that little or no writing got done. Perhaps you've gotten so excited about planning that you haven't been able to evaluate whether or not you truly are inspired to write the book. My advice is to let go of the ideas of when and where and how, but simply to focuse on the plot, characters, messages and theme. Let go of all else for a little while. Explore whether or not you truly are inspired to write the book. I'm not saying the inspiration isn't there--just that you need to take a break from researching and planning and search for it. Without inspiration, a book cannot be written. If you dread the writing part, the inspiration is clearly either obscurred or absent.

Another tip regarding whether inspiration may be obscured: you may simply be overwhelmed by the volume that needs to be written. When you have the entire book plotted out, it's easy to become stunned by what is still unwritten and not know where to start. Instead of focusing on the bigger picture, take it piece by piece. Focus on one part and one part only, and let the rest fade into the background until you feel you are ready to take another part on.

And that's all the advice I have for you. ^^ By the way, love the title of the thread. Very catchy. =3

Can I have a banana cookie? ^____^

Oh why thank you! whee
Thanks for all the assitance.

For now, I'm writing smaller short-stories to get my mind pumped first, and then I'll get back to the novel. Probably too much planning. sweatdrop

But thanks a lot for the help. :]

Mm. Banana cookies sound goood. -hands banana cookie-

Oh, and thanks for the title. xD
At first it was 'Me and My Wheat Thins..." but then I had a feeling that being in a guild of writers', I'd have endless replies telling me that it's My Wheat Thins and I. xDD
But thanks. whee

You're welcome! Glad to help. ^^

Ooh, that's good; you've pin-pointed the problem. I think you have a good idea, to take a break from the novel. And besides, short stories are fun. 3nodding You should post some of them in WA!

-MUNCHES- Yum! :3

Yes, definitely. Grammar is very important. And in this kind of guild, it would practically be a controversy. x3 (Kidding.) On that note, however, I'm still surprised that, in the ages that I've had my current siggy, no one has noticed the blatant error in grammar (that I'm too lazy to fix). x3

Woahh.
I don't even know the blatant error.
It may be that it's 'all right' instead of 'alright', but I have no idea. xDD

Hmm, I need to get done with them first. xDD
But sure.
The more criticism, the better.
whee

But I already posted one.
{(criticism would be highly appreciated...trust me. xD)}
