I find this most obvious in Zeris especially the fact that they are both dead and are in the Lifestream together. Even in AC they leave together, both of them, back into the Lifestream. This is extremely significant because for one, it hints Zeris and two, though Aeris is central to the plot in AC, she appears along with Zack, instead of being alone. Anyways, that's my intake. What are your opinions?

I agree. The ending of AC really does prove that the game was serious about Zeris. It's a much happier ending too, considering it allows Cloti to continue as well.
I always thought that Aeris letting go slightly to try something with Cloud was really about her desperately trying to get over Zack. She doesn't know what's happened to him, yet she wears what he gave her to the end.
I think that's proof enough that their love surpasses not only death, but doubt as well.
Cloud finding Aeris and protecting her is really important to my belief of Cloud's illness and driving force to live for Zack. That Zack always hoped and prayed that Cloud would find Aeris and try to keep her safe for him, since he wasn't around to do it anymore. "I'll live for both of us" is I think the line Cloud says. That line alone, to me, is all I need to prove Zeris from the game. XP

I wish I had some additional input to add into this thread, but everything that I would say has already been said plus some. sad
Maybe the creators of the game wanted Aeris and Zack to be more canon than Aeris and Cloud by having Aeris die and join Zack in the lifestream. If they wanted Aeris and Cloud to happen then wouldn't she somehow live? At the same time, Aeris dying was necessary for saving the world, so I guess in a way you can't use that as support against Cleris.
Anyways, AC really does support Zeris in the end. 3nodding

"All that we see or seem, Is but a dream within a dream." Everything I wanted to say, has pretty much already been said too, lol. I think that the creators are showing something very clear and tragic: Aeris and Zack are the tragic characters. They die unfairly, got split up in the past, and then are reunited. (Much like Cloud and Tifa. It seems to make sense to me.)
The way Zack and Aeris were split up in the past was just heartbreaking. Now that we know Aeris was attracted to Cloud because of Zack, it makes even more sense that she'd be defensive about Zack when she reunites with him in the Lifestream in maiden. She reunites with him BEFORE AC, so what happens at the end of AC? It's true, just because the two are walking through the door doesn't mean it's love... but look what it symbolizes! Cloud and Tifa are shown together, and Aeris and Zack are shown together. Some Clerii fans say that Aeris is NOT walking out of the door with Zack. But she is. >_>; They say, she doesn't see Zack there. She doesn't notice him. Her focus is on Cloud and Cloud only. But really, how can they say that's true? She communicated with Zack before and during that time. (Read Maiden biggrin )

I did hear that in the book "Maiden Who Traveled the Planet", which is based on Aerith as she attempts to get the Lifestream's help in order to stop Meteor after she died, she dies run into Zack and he helps her along the way to save the planet with her along with Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie, Dyne, etc. (In essence, anyone who died in FFVII)

Yes, Madien does tells us that. You have to watch out though, Madien isn't 100% canon and SE has kind of dropped it off and doesn't really include it in their timelines. It was made to be an "original interpretation" according to the author's website. XP
Anyways, Madien isn't completely false or anything, it's just been contradicted, ret-conned and such.
Though your comment hasn't been contradicted. It's actually a very supported idea because the lifestream itself does come to help Holy. XD I just don't like Madien. XP

Despite how Maiden seems to contradict Aeris in some ways when it comes to the Ultimania's, FFVII, and CC, it's still one of my favorite reads. I liked delving it to Aeris' character, especially her feelings when it comes to things other than Zack/Cloud. I don't like how it portrayed some things, and I'm sure we all know what that is. XDD
Sakuya, that's a cute name. ^.^ I'm glad you're a Cleris fan that notices Zack! I see a lot of Cleris fans that don't like Zack at all. D; -sniffles- Who could hate Zack?!
I never saw Cloud and Aeris as angsty, but fluffy and happy, lol. Though I guess from a Cleris view looking at AC and Aeris' death in FFVII, that could be considered angst. *Gets annoying announcer voice* "That day she died, but she lived on in one mans heart. A lonely man, a broken man. Can she save him, even now?" -insert dramatic chipmunk here- XDD

I think Zeris makes perfect sense. I mean, she probably fell for Cloud because of all the Zack she'd seen in him, even if she didn't fully recognize what it was. And, upon meeting Zack, her first love, in the Lifestream, she probably felt rather guilty, and ashamed of how wishy-washy she had been, though it wasn't really her fault. Then, to make it seem she wasn't jumping from one man to the next, she denied she'd still love Zack, and fixed more of her attention on Cloud. At least on first.
I haven't read Maiden or Ultimania, or anything, but that's what I figure it woulda been like from playing CC and FFVII and watching AC. -shrug-
Zack and Aeris... kinda always seemed like an old married couple to me. XD In a cute way. :3
