Does it really matter since you're covered up most of the time anyways?

You're not injecting ink into your skin.

I know..but I meant a tattoo that looks like henna..henna is not forbidden so..why is tattoos haram then..I still don't know if it's haram or not? is it haram? supposedly it is because it is disfiguring the body that Allah has given you. http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?pagename=IslamOnline-English-Ask_Scholar/FatwaE/FatwaE&cid=1119503544192 but there is disagreement on the issue of why. I can see it forbidden if you're doing it to join a gang or if it is repulsive image that is being put on.

As far as I know your salat or prayers would never be accepted if you have tattoos in your body.
Why? Because when you have tattoos while praying it is as if you are praying to the images on your tattoo.
Wearing clothes with images of animated objects is prohibited. What more with tattoos painted in your body.
Well, that's what I know. biggrin

Ok henna is not forbidden cause its not injeckected into your skin therefore its not permenent, also it washes away quite easily & quickly...
(Henna is not suppose to be applied too strongly either otherwise water can not clean your skin during wash)
Before prayer we must wash our selves as muslims... if there is bits of ink in your skin... its regarded as dirt... and it cant be cleaned therefore its haram... just like nail varnish.
However, there is one thing... henna was originally only used on hair and palms... as in these 2 places henna usually can not stay for too long & usually washes away very quick... but now days people put henna on thier face, thier necks etc...

what? how does that work? you have tattoos while praying then it is like you are praying to the images on your tattoo? That doesn't make sense. Most of the time you can't even see the tattoos on your body...and if you are praying or focused on praying to Allah, then how the heck are you even going to be able to pray to the tattoos on your body (especially if you don't even want to)?
