Honor killings.
Killing a daughter because she had a child out of wedlock
or
A man for being gay and the family cannot hid it any more
I've been quite well aware of this practice, especially since most of my family is from Pakistan and probably would do it to me if they knew about my sexual orientation. It is still practiced in the USA as well.
Fellow Muslims killing other Muslims for the sake of honor, for protecting the family's respect in society.
Where in the Qu'ran is this justified?

You must only kill someone if they are trying to kill you. I think they should explain you... And i think if your family is patan, then they would thake you out from your house, ore kill you. But first they should explain you ofcurse.

What I'm familiar with is that it is stipulated in the Qur'an that you should only protect yourself against those who try to hurt you and your religion.
To put it plainer, you only kill so as not to have yourself killed just like what Zaaki said. I hope i'm not rehashing things.
It's about defending yourself and offending no one. biggrin

You cant do honour killings its against Islam 100% and if you do, then you might as well not call yourself Muslim any more.
You cant hurt any one unless its self defence and also you can only hurt some one with the same force they hurt you with, not more, not less...
Only time you can kill some one is if your 100% sure that they was going to kill you 1st.
