There's supposedly going to be a raid from 4chan (among other chans) on gaia for using the longcat meme. The channers have shut down a site for this before, and although Gaia can roll back servers and fix any crashes, it can't fix phished accounts. So, just in case, if you havn't done so in a while, I recommend changing your password, among other things.
Be careful. Watch your login pages. (If it doesn't say www.gaiaonline.com DO NOT LOG IN. Turn on your redirect warning. I know it's annoying, but it could save your account.
Use caution in clicking hidden links, if at all. (I recommend not.)

4chan is a forum website. A group of people much like gaia, although terribly more adult-orientated. There are a large number of hackers/phishers on this forum website.
They believe they came up with this longcat meme, and are claiming the administratiors of gaia stole it from them. (Which, I think, is quite silly) One pic: (do a search for longcat. You'll find plenty.


Keep in mind the site is in no danger. Any threats you have heard over the general board are false and are just there to scare people. The only thing you guys need to look out for is the phishing. It will also be a little laggy today, especially around 7PM EST.
